How To Get Away With Murder – We Can Find Him

ABC’s How to Get Away with Murder has two more episodes of the Fall season and boy did this episode’s end RAMP IT UP with one unexpected death. The next two will be so action packed – I can feel it. Episode “We Can Find Him” was a very misleading for hardcore #Coliver shippers because it had zero to do with finding Oliver on the night of the wedding. In fact, we only got one flash forward scene at the beginning of the episode which revealed that my main suspect, Ronald (John Hensley), is actually safe and thinking of marrying our Bonnie Winterbottom (Liza Weil). Let’s recap the rest of this episode down below.

Well, Oliver (Conrad Ricamora) and Connor’s (Jack Falahee) mothers are in town for some wedding planning. Pam (Cynthia Stevenson), Connor’s mom, is very sweet and overly affectionate. Joanna (Mia Katigbak), Oliver’s mom, is more stern and traditional. Joanna wants them to get married in a church and stop trying to be so cheap and let the parents help out more, but Connor knows that Pam can’t afford that and he doesn’t want to talk to his father(s). We get to see glimpses of the boys relationship with their mothers, but the one on real display here is Oliver and Joanna. It turns out that Oliver never told her that he was HIV Positive and not only wants her approval because it’s an Asian trope but because he thinks this will change things between them. He sees later in the episode that this isn’t true when he finally tells his mom the truth and not only does it heal their relationship but it heals Joanna and Connors’ too when Joanna gives Oliver’s old wedding book to Connor and convinces him to talk to Oliver about some wedding details that shouldn’t be dismissed anymore.

Back where we left Bonnie last, she showed up to Julie’s (Elizabeth Morton) place looking for some answers about her son, but gets lies and lies from Julie. In the end, she’s left with what she’s had to deal with as truth – that Julie buried the baby alive. However, from what Frank (Charlie Weber) dug up that may not be so true.

Annalise (Viola Davis) meets with Governor Birkhead (Laura Isnnes) who proudly boasts about all the work that Annalise has done and how much more she could accomplish if they started working together. Birkheaad even promises a new clinic and a space to try all cases out without fear of interference, but the biggest deal would be Nate Sr.’s (Glynn Turman) pardon. Birkhead will throw it in if Annalise switches sides.

Over at C&G while Annalise is making her decision, Tegan (Amirah Vann) leads the students in a shady case against a diet pill that puts Laurel (Karla Souza) and Michaela (Aja Naomi King) back in her good graces. Speaking of Laurel, after her shocking intel on the truth to who Gabriel (Rome Flynn) is she starts to avoid him and it is heavily implied that his mystery is tied into Wes somehow. But we won’t be privy to know because Laurel cuts off contact with him.

Emmett (Timothy Hutton) tries to convince Annalise to stay with C&G, even revealing that his “misconduct” in London was due to falling in love with a client. But none of this works when Annalise is granted the pardon she wants. She quits and heads over to Nate Jr’s (Billy Brown) to revel in the victory when they get the shocking news that there has been an incident. Nate Sr… has been killed in prison. But the only question is by who? Best bet would be Governor Birkhead.

As for the body in the snow, my next guess would either be Julie or Nate. I highly doubt it would Oliver because his storyline is very important and very fan beloved.
