Q) How would you describe your sound?

A) Pop Culture Teen

Q) Who are some of your musical influences?

A) Ariana Grande, Pink, Kelly Clarkson and Demi Lovato

Q) What inspired your “BraveHat” campaign?

A) The kids I met around the country while on tour always asking how I do what I do and how did I get there.

Q) How did that message influence the creation of your new song “BraveHat?”

A) I just wanted other kids to know that they are not alone and be inspirational to help them.

Q) What do you think it is about the song that fans connect to?

A) That they can relate.

Q) What is your song writing process?

A) I first start with a melody and a chord progression, the figuring out of what I want to write about at that moment. I usually just write titles down and just go from there. Before you know it, the making of a song is happening.

Q) Do you need music before you can create lyrics?

A) No, sometimes I’ll start with the title of a song and write things down then I come up with the melody. It all depends in the producer I’m working with and their process as well.

Q) How much of hand do you have in the production of your music?

A) A lot, because the song represents me and I want to make sure that I love what I put out.

Q) What can fans expect from a live Issie Swickle performance?

A) Fun, entertainment, singing and lots of dancing. I want them to do everything right along with me. We can experience it together!

Q) Who would you most like to collaborate with on a song in the future?

A) Ariana Grande

Q) What album/band are you currently listening to and why do you dig them?

A) Rex Orange County because their music is fun and relaxing. Anything Ariana Grande because I love her music. There is always some meaning behind her music.

Q) What advice would you give to up and coming musicians?

A) Just always make sure your music is just that, your music. Always love what you do.

Q) What would you like to say to everyone who is a fan and supporter of you and your work?

A) Thank you so much for all the support and I hope this is just the beginning.
