Q) What inspired you to venture into the music industry, and how has your Afro-Latina heritage influenced your musical style?

A) My dad has been in the music industry for most of his life. Being interested in music as well was inevitable, and I began songwriting when I was seven years old! I thank my dad for pushing me to begin my introduction into the music industry. I think my Afro-Latina heritage has strongly influenced my music style. Because I am mixed race, there are so many aspects to me, and I think that is portrayed in my songs. So many styles, sounds and beats in all of my songs so far. I am also looking forward to releasing a Spanish version and a Reggaeton Remix of BOPSTAR. But my next single “Tornado” is set to release on September 8th. I can’t wait!

Q) As a singer, what artists or musicians have been your biggest inspirations?

A) Olivia Rodrigo, Sabrina Carpenter, and Tate McRae have all really inspired me. Olivia has a wonderful tone and range and she has amazing songs. Sabrina is like memories…I used to sing all her songs on repeat when I was little. One day my dad surprised me, he was in her “Thumbs” music video, so he FaceTimed me from set and I met her for the first time. Fast forward a few years later, she was handing me my first ever Kid’s Choice Award! Life is crazy! And finally, Tate. Her voice is so unique. I love it. Fun fact, she was actually the first person I ever saw in concert. Miranda [Cosgrove] took me to go watch her live in concert and it will be a lasting memory forever.

Q) Congratulations on your music release, Jaidyn! Please tell us a bit about the inspiration behind your debut single “BopStar.”

A) “BOPSTAR” was meant to be a different take of a “Pop Star.” In the song I’m basically bragging that every song I put out is gonna be a hit. So, the person I am in the song is an alter ego that is just pure confidence. There are so many ways to interpret what a “BopStar” is and what it means to you. It’s been so cool seeing everyone’s BOPSTAR personas online with the trends going around TikTok and IG. So much fun.

Q) With your EP Bop Star on the horizon, what can fans expect from the upcoming collection of songs? Any particular themes or styles you’ve explored?

A) think that the fans can expect the unexpected! With this EP I’ve noticed that there is a style of music for everyone. Some pop, alternative, etc. It’s a collection of songs that are cohesive but so different. I am trying to find my sound. So, I am really excited for fans to listen to their favs and see what they gravitate to the most. My next single is called “TORNADO” and the entire sound pack is available for pre order on every digital music store! It’s one of my favorites from the project.

Q) Music videos are an integral part of a song’s success. What can you share any exciting details about the concept behind the music video for “BopStar?”

A) We filmed the “BOPSTAR” music video in all sorts of locations. One of them was actually on the Paramount lot for the “Everything paramount, word to my bank account.” line. The music video in my eyes was meant to be seen as different versions of my alter ego all having the same confidence. But it was also to not take things too seriously. It was important that I didn’t come off “braggadocious” because that’s not true to who I am, so we added fun cameos and revealed some of our cool effects throughout the video and kept everything light and fun. The stages were always so cool to me! There were different places in one studio, and we filmed in almost all of them. The orange one with the KCA Blimp had to be my favs. Fun fact, we shot four music videos in four days. So, my next three music videos are done and ready for release. Just waiting for the right time for each.

Q) Nickelodeon has been a launching pad for many successful careers. How does it feel to have your music featured on the channel, and what are your hopes for the response from the viewers?

A) It was so insane when I received the news that my music video would be added to rotation on Nick music! I couldn’t believe it for the first few minutes until it hit me. I can only see my career going higher from here and I couldn’t be happier! I’m hoping that fans continue supporting “BOPSTAR” and the music video, as well as all of my music in the future.

Q) We know you’re both a singer and a producer. How do you balance these roles, and what aspects of producing do you enjoy the most?

A) I’ve always loved being a creative. Anything that has to do with being in the film industry, whether on camera or off, has always fed my creative drive. I love routine and organization so juggling acting, school, singing and producing all together is the fun part for me. Sometimes it can be overwhelming when deadlines come into play. but overall it’s what I love to do and it’s fun! I think that being a part of the production team and seeing all the elements come to life from beginning to end is always so cool, especially when you created the idea and you’re watching it come to life. It’s like a dream come true.

Q) As a young artist, what advice would you give to other aspiring musicians and creatives looking to make their mark in the entertainment industry?

A) I always say you need passion and hard work to succeed. Hard work is pointless to me without passion and the same way around. It’s important to work hard for the things you’re passionate about so that you can live a happy life. There’s no need to work hard for things you don’t like or make you unhappy! Outside of that, don’t give up! If you are truly passionate about it and it makes you happy, it will be worth every second.

Q) As your music reaches a broader audience, what message do you hope to convey through your songs and your artistry as a whole?

A) I hope that listeners can relate to my music in some way, and that my listeners can continue coming back for some more BOPS in the future! I wanna let people know that I am capable of any genre and any style. And overall, I think as artists we just want to be heard. One of the coolest feelings ever is seeing someone listen to my song and enjoy it. It’s an amazing feeling.

Q) Who would you most love to collaborate with on a song in the future?

A) I have met Sabrina Carpenter quite a few times now, so I hope that sometime soon maybe we could collaborate on a song one day. I’ve come to learn that literally anything is possible.

Q) Social media has become a powerful platform for artists to connect with their fans. How do you use social media to engage with your audience and share your music journey with them?

A) I always try my best to interact with my fans and make content and trends that they would like too! I document everything surrounding my music and acting career so stay tuned on my family YouTube channel TRIPLETT FAMILY NETWORK. I am also very active on IG @bookjaidyn and Tik Tok @jaidyn.triplett – I love to go live and do Q&A’s with my fans too. So, I hope to do that more often.

Q) What would you like to say to everyone who are supporters of you and the work you do?

A) I would love to thank all my fans and supporters who have been here since I booked my first commercial with my dad at 4 years old. Friends, family and support is all I need to continue moving up, and I am really excited to take you guys along the way. I cannot wait to reach many more milestones along this journey and have my support system there with me every step of the way. To my mom and dad, my team – thank you all so much for believing in me and constantly pushing me to unlock my potential along this journey.
