Q) Congratulations on your new film Cherry starring opposite Tom Holland. Talk a little bit about your character Shelly, and how she fits into the story.

A) I play Jack Reynor’s sister, who lives at the family house with him.  Don’t want to give too much away, but I walk in on Jack and Tom Holland doing business.

Q) The film touches on some emotionally traumatic topics from war, to PTSD, to drug addiction and crime. While Shelly didn’t experience these struggles, what was your biggest challenge bringing her to life on screen?

A) Probably just calming down my nerves in doing a scene with Jack and Tom.

Q) Addiction mixed with PTSD offers up some very dark scenes in this film. Were you present for some of those moments your co-star Tom Holland went through?

A) I was only involved in my scenes at the house.

Q) As an actor, how do you decompress and leave those darker moments behind you on set?

A) I learned to decompress fairly fast a long time ago.  I start playing my uplifting and feel good music when I get back to my trailer. Then, when I’m offset, I’m back to reality.

Q) What do you hope fans take from watching this film?

A) I haven’t seen the entire film yet, but I’m hoping people understand the effects war has on individuals in the military and on their family, or friends.

Q) We have to talk about your fantastic characters Nan and Addie on “American Horror Story.”  Working alongside such legendary actresses like Jessica Lange, Sarah Paulson and Angela Bassett must have been a dream come true for you. What was your most memorable experience filming that series?

A) I have several memorable moments. As Adelaide and Nan, I was able to learn how to do stunt work. Now, I love doing stunts and would love to do more any genre.

Q) Diversity and inclusivity are an important part of the television and film landscape. Portraying real people and their successes, as well as their limitations is so important. The entertainment industry has come a long way and that’s partially thanks to you and your advocacy. What can we, as fans do to help continue this trend?

A) When fans watch any media that tells a story, be aware that any character could very likely be a character who might have a disability. People who happen to have a disability are just as capable and talented as anyone else. In real life, we see individuals who happen to have a disability in all kinds of jobs. So, we should be able to see that in media storytelling also, don’t you think? Spread the word we need to see real life people, as we see every day.

Q) Do you have any advice for fans who might be living with a disability and also have a desire to go into acting or advocacy?

A) If you want to go into acting, take any type of class that you can. Watch a lot of variety of shows, which will also help you learn skills.  Learning new things is incredible and it helps in every way. Advocacy is learning how to be able to speak for yourself. Then, you need to believe in yourself and believe in others. Never give up on any of your dreams. Be inspired every day and make sure to inspire others every day!

Q) Besides Cherry are you working on any future projects the fans can look out for?

A) Yes, I’m involved with a couple of new exciting projects. Right now, they are hush-hush, and I can’t really talk about them. But I will as soon as I can!

Q) Any chance we will see you pop up in future seasons of “American Horror Story?”

A) I would love that, fingers crossed!! Just waiting for the phone to ring!!

Q) What would you like to say to the fans and supporters of you and your work?

A) I love acting and it’s huge that fans and supporters believe in me. A huge thank you to everyone who has seen what I have done and are excited to see I will do next. There are a lot of exciting opportunities for everyone to experience. See you soon!
