Q) What are the recent projects you have been busy working on?

A) I recently wrapped shooting on the first season of a new Netflix original series called “Ginny and Georgia.”

Q) What can you tease is new this season on “Schitt’s Creek?”

A) I can’t reveal much, but I can tell you there will be a lot of laughs and possibly a few tears near the end.

Q) Going into Season 6, how will she be balancing the baby and her town activities?

A) Honestly, I don’t know how Joce does it. The Jazzagals, teaching, the baby, ROLAND… and she still manages to style that hair every morning. I figure Jocelyn must take a lot of vitamins.

Q) What kind of input have you had over the years as to how Jocelyn has developed?

A) Dan [Levy], Eugene [Levy] and the directors always gave me the freedom to try stuff out with my character. The writers wrote great lines and then I channeled them through Jocelyn, one shoulder shimmy at a time!

Q) We love scenes between you and Chris Elliott. What kind of rapport have you created over the years?

A) Chris was incredibly supportive from day one. He made me feel supported in scenes, and made me laugh between takes.

Q) We live for a Moira and Jocelyn moment! What have been some of your favorite scenes to film together?

A) I absolutely loved shooting the auditions for Cabaret with Catherine. Watching Annie [Murphy] sing “A Little Bit Alexis” was the icing on the cake.

Q) The writing for the series really juxtaposes humor with these heartfelt moments that feel so organic. What is it about the series that warms your heart while tickling it too?

A) We are just genuinely telling the story of the characters in this town. That audiences have connected in such a strong way to the show is something very special that we don’t take for granted.

Q) What we love is the family dynamics that really translate to the town. What do the towns people of Schitt’s Creek take away from The Roses as much as vice versa?

A) I think that all the characters in this show have affected each other in positive ways. Even though Jocelyn rolls her eyes at Moira, I think she has shown Jocelyn to dream big and be bold!

Q) What have you personally taken away from your time working on “Schitt’s Creek?”

A) Being on a show with such accomplished comedic talent has been such a great learning experience. Six seasons with these actors has been a master class in comedy.

Q) Were there certain must-have items from Jocelyn’s life that you took home as mementos?

A) I absolutely took one of Joce’s kitten sweatshirts. The pink one with two kittens on it.

Q) What do you think it is about the show that has made it so iconic?

A) I don’t think I can comment on why the show is iconic. I think that is for other people to decide. What I love about the world of Schitt’s Creek is that Daniel created a place where everyone is free to be who they truly are without bias. I think the world would be a better place if we could be a little more like that.

Q) What would you like to say to everyone who is a fan and supporter of you and the work you do?

A) Thank you for loving and supporting the show! We have loved all six years of making it for you! xo
