Q) Who are some of your musical influences?

A) I love Carole King, Chelsea Cutler and Halsey.

Q) “Body” talks about not settling for relationships that are not genuine. Did you draw from personal experience or talk to others who have dealt with different types of relationships?

A) I drew from my past experiences in relationships as well as seeing my friends and people close to me not being treated the way they deserve.

Q) What has been the fan response been to “Body?”

A) The fan response has been amazing and has really exceeded my expectations. Everyone who listens is always so supportive and I am truly grateful for that. I love when people say that my music has emotionally impacted them.

Q) What do you think fans can relate to about this track?

A) I think anyone can relate to wanting to find love and relationships that are honest and uplifting where they truly feel accepted and wanted for being exactly who they are.

Q) What is your song process when creating songs?

A) It varies for each song, but usually for me the lyrics come first as poetry, then melodies form naturally, and last the production is built out. With “Body,” the production was first and I freestyled some melodies into a mic and soon after the lyrics surfaced.

Q) How did you unwind after a long day of recording?

A) After a long day of recording, I unwind by having a nice dinner, drinking hot tea for my voice and watching a show on Netflix.

Q) Who are some artists you would love to collaborate with in the future?

A) There are so many, but right now I would love to work with Illenium, NOTD, Jon Bellion and many other producers.

Q) You are also attending school while recording. How do you balance it all?

A) I am taking each day as it comes. I had recorded several of my new releases prior to starting classes so that was helpful. Now, I am just trying to budget my time very carefully and prioritize things that I am doing and deadlines, etc.  I have a lot of lists and I’m just trying to stay as organized as possible to maximize my time. I also have a great support team around me which helps.

Q) You just released a new single called “Puppet” but will there be a full album or EP coming in the near future?

A) Yes, I have several songs written and ready to release and it is up for discussion about releasing an EP which I am considering for the new year.

Q) What would you like to say to your fans and supporters?

A) Thank you so much for listening and supporting me! Music is something I love with my whole heart and having other people resonate with my music is so surreal. I just can’t put into words how much it means to me.

Also, remember to always love and respect yourself no matter what and to never give up on your dreams!! “Body” reminds us to “keep looking for the one you can’t replace” and “Puppet” reminds us that when you are in a bad place after “breaking” don’t forget to “break free” and go live that happy wonderful life that you deserve!!!
