Q) How would you describe your sound?

A) I would say its early 2000s pop influenced with a rawer approach in terms of writing style.

Q) Who are some of your musical influences?

A) Taylor Swift, Britney Spears, Teddy Swims

Q) “DGAF” is the latest song to be released from your upcoming album. What is the story behind the song?

A) The album is going to go through the stages of grief in the form of a breakup. “DGAF” specifically was written about that point after a breakup when you want to go out and meet someone new even if it doesn’t lead anywhere in terms of a relationship.

Q) What was the biggest challenge about writing the song?

A) It was definitely hard because I’m not the type of person to go to clubs and meet random guys. A lot of this song was written from me living vicariously through my girlfriends.

Q) How does the video for “DGAF” play into the message behind it?

A) Firstly, it channels my inner boss bitch. Oddly enough, the costumes were made and customized for me before the song was fully ready. It’s all about a vision. Music for me is such a special experience so as everyone will learn in the coming months. I’m playing full out in every department.

Q) Your album has already had two other hits, “I Like Your Dad” and “Bitch Boy.” Did you expect to get such a huge response from them?

A) “I Like Your Dad” was originally an inside joke for our family and my close friends. To be honest, this album really is therapy for me. I’m beyond grateful from the responses I’ve gotten thus far, but I’m truly doing this album for me.

Q) What other themes will you be exploring on your upcoming album?

A) Everyone will have an inside look at my life and delusional perceptions. Yes, I live in a fantasy world. [laughs]

Q) You have also done acting on shows such as “Game Shakers.” Are you planning on doing more on screen work in the future?

A) Yes! I have always loved acting. I’ve known from a young age I wanted to be part of the entertainment industry and for me that means being a jack of all trades. I’m exploring new skill sets that everyone will soon be aware of!

W) You’re worked with Billie Joe Armstrong on a past project. Who would you love to collaborate with on a song in the future?

A) Honestly, it would be really cool to do a collaboration with him. I have a new song in the works currently and in my ideal world Nicki Minaj would be featured on it.

Q) What would you like to say to your fans and supporters?

A) Thank you so much for loving and supporting me through this transitional phase. Each day I work on being the best version of myself and being true to myself. I’m actively working on being vulnerable throughout unpredictable and uncomfortable situations. Working on this album is very freeing for my soul.
