Q) How has being a multi-genre artist covering genres like: Reggae, Hip Hop, and R&B led you to your new single, “Gwan Get It?”

A) Well, being raised in NYC in a diverse family helps. And I also listened to many genres of music growing up in the five boroughs, not to mention I traveled a lot so I always was into eclectic sounds of music and wanted to bring that vibe in my current new single “Gwan Get It.”

Q) What is the true meaning (or underlying message) behind “Gwan Get It” your hit new single?

A) Well, it’s a tune about a woman who is free and can do whatever she wants to do. Not only can she dance and be sexy, but she can also be free. This is a tune for the ladies for sure to feel and vibes anyway they want, worldwide.

Q) What has your experience been like working with Latin Grammy Nominee Sito Rocks and Canadian hip hop icon Choclair for your new single?

A) It has been a great experience because it has opened me up to new markets. The Latin market, which is one of the biggest in the industry today has been very receptive and also the Canadian market through Choclair, not to mention the Caribbean market – they love it.

Q) You have a catchy beat to “Gwan Get It.” How much of a difference do you feel changing up a beat can make and why?

A) It can make a major difference. This beat actually started down in El Paso, Texas with one producer and ended up getting revamped by Trinidadian producer Audie Hewitt who bought his creative melodies on the tune and it brought it to life. It has a blend of instrumentation and vocals that speak to the mind and soul.

Q) Where were you when you first struck the idea of “Gwan Get It” and did the location have influence on your song?

A) I was in El Paso, Texas. I wanted to have a song that included the Latin vibes into my pop, Dancehall sound. And Choclair came along when I ventured up to Toronto, Canada where we actually sat in the studio and worked his part and it all just came together.

Q) What kind of fan response have you been getting to this track?

A) The fan response has been amazing everyone loves this tune and the sound of it and they always tell me that on Instagram. They are waiting on the real music video and remix to it as well.

Q) What do you think people may be able to relate to about this song?

A) I think people can relate to this song because it’s a song that is very marketable and easy to vibe with. Everyone wants to have a good time and feel good during these times. Everyone wants to feel free and go to another place that’s chill when I’m stressful times like we are in with COVID-19 and other issues around the world.

Q) How much of a hand do you have in the production of your music?

A) Well, I had a hand in crafting the lyrical elements some of the sounds and the rest goes to Audie Hewitt for the major productions and musical vibes.

Q) Who are some of your musical influences?

A) I have a lot – Sting, Shaggy, Sean Paul, Seal, Mike Posner, Bob Marley and the list goes on.

Q I)f you could change one thing about “Gwan Get It” what would it be and why?

A) I would not change a thing I love it as it is.

Q) Who would you most like to collaborate with on a song?

A) Wow that’s a great question. Right now, I feel I would love to do a track with Sean Paul.

Q) Is there anything else you would like to say to your fans about “Gwan Get It” or any last words you would like to day to your fans?
