Q) Talk about the story behind your new song “Remember This Moment.”

A) I’m so glad you asked about this song because it has really taken on different meanings depending on the situation.  When I wrote it, my cowriter Raquel and I were talking about memories and how time passes so quickly.  I began using it to close my shows and it was always a moment of gratitude I could count on for another wonderful night doing what I love.  And now, since the pandemic, it’s taught me to just be grateful for every happy and healthy moment we have.  You never know when it will end, so enjoy it while it lasts!

Q) What can you tease about concept for the video for it?

A) I’m not sure if we’ll do a video, to be honest.  I always wanted it to be a compilation of my live show footage, talking with fans and friends after shows, etc. But I’ll only do that when I get to go on the road again.

Q) Are there any plans for an upcoming album or EP?

A) There are always plans for more new music! *wink*

Q) With concerts having been on hold, what have you missed most about being on stage?

A) I miss everything.  I miss sharing new songs, telling the stories behind them, meeting people, hugs – all of it.

Q) Will you be doing any live stream events to help promote “Remember This Moment?”

A) Yes!  I found a home on Twitch during the pandemic, so look out for me there!!

Q) Which song has been your favorite to perform for the fans at shows?

A) Oh, I can’t play favorites with my children…

Q) You recently covered Tina Turner’s hit song “The Best.” Do you have an interest in covering any other songs in the near future?

A) Absolutely!  I was in a top 40s cover band for many years, and even did a Queen tribute band.  I could imagine something in that ballpark someday.!

Q) What is your favorite song you have released so far, or one you think fans can relate to in particular?

A) I think my song “Anybody Else” has the most meaningful message for people.  It’s about staying true to yourself, no matter the influences, opinions, or voices of yourself or others.  We all need to hear that sometimes.

Q) What advice would you give up and coming artists?

A) Tell the truth – tell the truth in all of it, your songwriting, your social media posts, your transparency, your branding, etc.  If you tell the truth, people will believe you!  They can see through the fake stuff.

Q) What would you like to say to everyone who is a fan and supporter of you and your work?

A) Thank you.  If we haven’t met yet, I hope we get to in person someday so I can thank you properly!!
