The episode opens with Christy (Anna Faris) in her law school class. Her professor (Alimi Ballard) makes an announcement that his firm will be offering a summer internship and he is offering it to someone in the class. Christy starts comparing herself to the other students and thinks she is the best. She accidentally says it out loud, causing everyone to stare at her.

She relays the news and her newfound confidence to Marjorie (Mimi Kennedy), Wendy (Beth Hall), Jill (Jaime Pressly), Tammy (Kristen Johnston) and Bonnie (Allison Janney). She feels so confident that she tells the waitress she didn’t want mayo, not because she wanted to get a new order, but she wanted to be heard.

As she tells her story, Tammy yelps in pain. It turns out she has a toothache, but she doesn’t want to stop eating. Jill offers to give her the name of her hot dentist. Bonnie wonders if all her doctors are hot and she says yes. Tammy want someone to take her, but everyone is busy. Bonnie agrees to be the one to go with her.

At the dentist, Bonnie is reading a magazine and starts stealing recipes from it. The receptionist tells her most people take pictures of it, but her phone is in her car.

Tammy comes out in a panic because she needs a lot of work done on her teeth. She is worried about her sobriety, but Bonnie offers to help. Tammy says she can always take Tylenol like she did when she stabbed herself trying to get a seagull.

Christy practices her mock trial in front of Gus the dog, Jill and Adam (William Fichtner). She wants to make a good impression to get the internship. Jill is mesmerized by how good she looks in her suit while Adam compares her to Angie Harmon. This leads Jill to check out the lives and times of Angie online. Adam convinces her she will be fine.

Bonnie comes down and says Tammy is sleeping, but her sheets and mattress may need to be changed. Christy hopes she is up soon because she has a big day tomorrow. Bonnie accuses her of being the girl who cried big day when Christy says she is worried about going up against her competition Lisa (Amanda Perez). Bonnie says she thought Christy was going to bitchslap her with the law. However, Christy is still worried because Lisa seems so perfect.

Adam reminds Christy that she will be fine. Bonnie realizes that the case is about drugs and reminds everyone that she had a similar situation than the guy on trial in the mock case. As they discuss Bonnie’s past, Tammy comes in the room looking for meds. She chugs the bottle and Bonnie makes her spit it out and take the correct amount of meds.

Bonnie takes Tammy to the pharmacy to get her prescription. Tammy is freaking out, so Bonnie calls Marjorie for help keeping her from slipping up, but she is away. She says she is at a sober event, but she is out in the snow with someone named Wayne. Tammy cuts the line in order to get in the front with Bonnie telling everyone she is in a lot of pain.

That night, Tammy wakes Bonnie up wanting her meds. It is too early, so they decide to play Clue. Tammy wakes up Adam, who wants to sleep. She wants to wake up Christy, but Bonnie tells her she has a big day. Tammy says she always says that.

At school, everyone is working on the mock trial. She mocks Glen (Caleb Pierce) for his attempt at a street look and goes on to try him. As she questions him, she ends up confessing to her past—and impressing the professor with his knowledge on how drug dealers operate.

Tammy is still in pain when Bonnie comes home with food for her to eat. While she gets Tammy pudding, Tammy goes into her purse and discovers that she can take the pills every four hours. Tammy freaks out, so Bonnie explains she had a relapse and doesn’t want the same thing to happen to her. Tammy understands and takes her pill.

Christy’s professor tells her that Lisa got the internship. Christy freaks out, but it turns out she got a paying job instead. She hugs him, but he says he can’t hug back but offers congratulations.

The episode ends with Jill confessing she never watched “Breaking Bad.” She just pretended to in order to fit in. Marjorie hopes that she isn’t lying about Cake Wars.” Christy comes in long enough to annoy Jill and say she is awesome before going too her GA meeting. Bonnie talks about helping Tammy and how it helped her help herself.
