Q) Please tell us the premise for Beware of the Midwife.

A) It’s a story about a pregnant woman who decides to have an at home birth using a midwife, rather doing it in the hospital with a doctor. The midwife she chooses to work with is nice at first, but we later find out she has sinister motives…

Q) What made you want to be a part of the film?

A) I’ve never really done a thriller quite like this before, so I wanted to try something new!

Q) How was your character Sarah originally described to you?

A) As a woman with a seemingly perfect life, who is desperate to protect her baby. Her decisions are purely based on what she believes is best for her unborn child and herself, which is why she goes against her doctor’s advice and embraces a different birth plan.

Q) Were you familiar with any of your costars before working with them on the movie?

A) I actually worked with Michael Xavier before as husband and wife in an episode of “Private Eyes.” I also met Raven Dauda when I first started taking acting classes as a kid. We ended up working on the same episode of “Hudson & Rex” in Summer 2020 and then again a few months later on this project.

Q) What advice did director Max McGuire offer during filming that you took to heart?

A) To follow my instinct. He let us find our characters and improvise dialogue where we needed to. He trusted us to find our own natural reactions to the challenges our characters were being presented with and let us build on them.

Q) With such intense subject matter, how did you shake off a long day of filming?

A) With a nice long shower and a cup of tea!

Q) What were some of your favorite scenes to film?

A) I don’t want to give away too much, but I definitely loved shooting the scene closer to the end of the film where Sarah and Rose (Raven) face off! That was a lot of fun!

Q) What do you think it is about Beware the Midwife that will make it a fast fan favorite Lifetime thriller?

A) I think it’s relatable! So many families would have made the same decisions as Sarah and Kevin (Michael).

Q) You are a part of social media. Are you looking forward to the instant fan feedback you’ll be receiving to the movie?

A) Yes, I’m excited to see how they respond. It will be a new experience for me!

Q) What would you like to say to everyone who are fans and supporters of you and the work you do?

A) I would like to thank all of the fans and supporters for following my work and my journey and sending so much love and positivity my way. I couldn’t do any of this without them and I am eternally grateful for their presence!
