Q) You have a beautiful R&B tone to your voice, but how would you describe your sound?

A) To be honest, I don’t know how to describe it, but I do have neo soul, jazz and R&B inspirations if that counts!

Q) Who are some of your musical influences?

A) D’Angelo, SZA, James Fauntleroy and Rihanna

Q) Talk about the story behind your new song “Maybe.”

A) “Better off” is a fun song. I think I was putting together my decisiveness, from wanting to go back and then not lol. That was just the conversion in my head.

Q) What do you think fans will connect to with this track?

A) I think “Maybe we’re just better off,” especially if you’re moving on. It’ll be a relatable song.

Q) The song features Coi Leray. How did the two of you come to work together on the single?

A) Saint Harraway, my A&R, introduced us and Coi has always shown me love! So the timing was perfect!

Q) What is your song writing process? Do you need music before you can create lyrics?

A) It’s normally production first and then I bring in the melody. Whatever I’m feeling that day, I’ll write about that!

Q) How much of a hand do you have in the production of your music?

A) I think before I didn’t really have a hand, I would just choose. Now I’m more involved and know what I want to hear

Q) “Maybe” follows singles “Options,” “Hold Me Close,” “All Day,” and (my personal favorite) “Crossfaded. ” Is this a prelude to a full album or EP coming out?

A) This is definitely leading up to a new EP fashooo

Q) You’ll be joining Jordan Ward on The Apartment Tour. What can fans expect from a live Nali performance?

A) I am very excited to perform “Crossfaded” and “Options”… Those two the most, honestly. They are my favorites.

Q) Where are some of your favorite places to perform and what makes those locations so significant to you?

A) Honestly, I love intimate places. In terms of geographics, def NY and DC. Those two places are like home for me.

Q) Who would you most like to collaborate with on a song in the future?

A) I’m going to say James Fauntleroy

Q) What artist/musician are you currently listening to and why do you dig them?

A) Jordan Ward, Rihanna, Jailen Josey and Natanya

Q) What would you like to say to everyone who is a fan and supporter of you and your work?

A) I would like to say I love you and appreciate you and I hope one day we can all hold hands and hug and kiss.
