Q) How would you best describe your sound?

A) My sound is quite spaced out – sometimes I think my sound resembles bit grunge, a bit pop and a bit of rock n roll.

Q) Who are your Top 3 musical influences?

A) I have most of my musical influences probably from H. I. M. / Ville Valo, Kurt Cobain from Nirvana and then a bit of pop touch from let’s say Taylor Swift.

Q) Tell us the story behind your new song “Tonight’s Skylines (Saw You).”

A) Actually, I made the song and the album ten years ago, hence the name When I was 20 – because most of the songs were made at that age.

The story behind the song was probably like falling in love with a girl at a first glance but still somehow nothing worked, so I painted and composed the scenery of the song calling it “Tonight’s Skylines (Saw You).”

It’s a bit like fantasy love song with great amount of sorrows.

Q) “Tonight’s Skylines (Saw You)” is on your current album When I Was 20, which was released in November 2023. What are some themes you explore on this album?

A) Themes are loud guitars, sad lyrics and chaos in some kind of order 😅.

Q) Since the release of the album, what has been the overall reaction from fans and listeners to the new music?

A) Not looking too promising, but it’s great to compose and publish music. Actually, last year I released two albums. This year I at least ought to release couple of singles.

Q) My favorite song off of When I Was 20is definitely “Close Your Eyes.” Which song(s) were your favorite to write and record for this album?

A) I think about it more as a whole all the songs there tell a different story of a part of my life, with a touch of music/magic.

Q) Were there any tracks that challenged you the most for this album?

A) Hard to say, this is more likely a compilation of my young adult years.

Q) What do you hope that fans will take away from listening to When I Was 20?

A) Just spread it around and vibe with the vibes!

Q) Which song is your favorite to play at live shows?

A) Actually, I haven’t done live shows with Nicky New York, but I do have a band from a music academy, and we have some gigs.

Q) I loved watching your tutorial that you posted on how to play “Spaceship!” What inspired you to share how to play that particular song and will you be making any more tutorials in the future for your latest music?

A) I go by what I feel so quite possibly might as well do some tutorials.

Q) If given the opportunity to collaborate on a new project, who would you love to work with and why?

A) I’m open to opportunities.

Q) What would you like to say to your fans and listeners of your music?

A) Hope you like the album and there is more music coming 😊! Thank you.
