Q) How would you describe your sound?

A) I would describe my sound as personal, southern, a touch of magic intent.

Q) Who are some of your musical influences?

A) The old school R&B singers, Luther, Blue Magic, The Manhattans, Maxwell, Howard Hewitt, Willie Hutch. The list is infinite.

Q) Talk about the story behind your new song “Everything.”

A) The song is about two friends that have known one another forever. They have both been hurt. The guy takes initiative and is destined to convince the lady that he is the right man for her. He knows what she needs. She is afraid to open up to him in that way, but if she does step out on faith, she wants it to be real.

Q) What do you think it is about the song that fans connect to?

A) I believe that what connects them is the fact that universally people deal with the pain of what love can do. This song offers real hope. People need hope.

Q) How will the video for the track play into the message behind it?

A) The video is not done due to COVID, but as soon as everything makes sense there will be a very entertaining video.

Q) What is your song writing process? Do you need music before you can create lyrics?

A) I can create with or without music. I prefer music, especially from Teesmoove Tha Genius. His beats talk to me. They communicate with my creative soul. He creates magic.

Q) The track was produced by TeeSmoove, but how much of hand do you have in the production of your music?

A) Teesmoove has a lot of trust and belief in my ability, so he allows me to let loose and fly freely.

Q) Will there be a full album or EP coming in the near future?

A) There will be an entire album coming out with Sabea Darling in a joint situation as well as a solo album from me.

Q) Where are some of your favorite places to perform and what makes those locations so significant to you?

A) I love performing in New York because they are the most honest crowds in the world. They will let you know firsthand if you have what it takes. So far, they have only shown love. I’m humbled by them.

Q) Who would you most like to collaborate with on a song in the future?

A) I would love to work with Rick Ross. I’m fascinated with how he maneuvers on a track and creates a vivid image in the mind. I think he and I could create a classic for the ladies.

Q) What album/band are you currently listening to and why do you dig them?

A) Right now, I honestly like RMR. He is different, but super talented. I like that fact that he creates a mystique for himself, while being super dope.

Q) We love seeing you on the web series “Til Death Do Us Part.” How was The Rackman originally described to you?

A) Actually, The Rackman created himself. Originally, I was just cast as a simple street pharmacist. The fans connected to my Southern accent and one-liners and soon after they deemed me “The Rackman.” We ran with it. Now I’m like a household name. It’s a great feeling.

Q) What made you decide to get into acting?

A) I have always wanted to act. Acting runs in my family. My father was an actor and musician. My mom was a drama major. My original plan was to get my feet in the door musically, then get into acting. Looks like it’s happening simultaneously. I’m blessed.

Q) Who is your dream costar for either film or television?

A) Denzel Washington

Q) You are a part of social media. Why is that such an important way for you to connect with your fans?

A) Connecting and engaging with the fans is imperative to true success. As an influencer/celebrity, you must be personable, if nothing else. It’s important to let them know how much they matter. I love the people. They make this all make sense.

Q) What would you like to say to everyone who is a fan and supporter of you and your work?

A) I would like to say thank you so much for your love and support. Thank you for your patience. Thank you for riding with me on this journey and I give my word that I will not let you all down. I have so much more to do.
