Q) What are the recent projects that you are working on?

A) I can’t say too much at the moment unfortunately, but there are a couple of projects in the pipeline that I think people will be excited about.

Q) Please tell us the premise for your film Home By Spring and about your character Loretta.

A) Home By Spring is a beautiful story about the importance of home and of valuing the relationships in our lives. I play Loretta Johnson, an ambitious young woman from St. Francisville, Louisiana who moves to LA to further her career, but is forced to rethink her choices when she returns home and is reunited with her past love.

Q) What was it about this film that made you want to be a part of it?

A) There were a lot of things that drew me to the project. I fell for her story as soon as I read the script. I loved how fearlessly she faced all these challenges. I was also really excited to be working with our lovely director Dwight Little and to explore Louisiana.

Q) Was there something you added to Loretta that may not have been in her original break-down?

A) Well, the costume designer liked my personal ring so decided I should keep it on as Loretta. My granny gave it to me, so it has huge sentimental significance. Often when Loretta had a hard decision to make, I found myself fiddling with the ring.

Q) Talk about working alongside country music legend Kix Brooks and iconic actress Mary-Margaret Humes?

A) They are the best! I had such a wonderful time not only working with Kix and Mary-Margaret, but also getting to know them off set, too. They are two of the most kind-hearted, twinkly and fun-loving people I know. It was an absolute pleasure.

Q) What were some of your most memorable moments from filming Home By Spring?

A) One of my most precious memories from filming was a night we all spent dancing on the porch. We were staying in these little cottages and cabins, where we filmed most of the movie. On our last night, we all took round food to one of the larger cabins and talked and sang and danced in the moonlight. It was a pretty special evening.

Q) You are a part of social media. Are you looking forward to the instant fan feedback you’ll receive to the film?

A) I am looking forward to that. My fans are incredible! They are such bright, positive people and it means so much to me to hear their feedback. I feel hugely grateful that so many people respond to the characters I play.

Q) What do you think it is about this movie that will make it a Hallmark favorite film?

A) I think it’s a story everyone can relate to. Like Loretta, we are all just trying to make the right choices in our lives, but inevitably, sometimes things go wrong! What is important however, is not those mistakes, but how we deal with those mistakes; that’s the true test of character.

Q) You have played some fierce, vulnerable, but flawed females. What is it about these characters you really relate to and resonate with?

A) I’ve been so lucky to play some beautifully, well-written parts in my career so far. I’m always drawn to characters that show their vulnerability as well as their strength. I think it speaks to all of us, because we can’t be just one thing all of the time. We are usually a whole mixture of different qualities in every moment.

Q) What would you like to say to everyone who is a fan and supporter of you and your work?

A) Thank you!! Thank you so much for watching and supporting my work. It brings me so much joy to know that people appreciate the work that I do, because at the end of the day, it is all for them.
