The heavily anticipated queer pop culture convention, QFX East, is coming to Tampa, Florida May 29 – 31, 2020 – giving queer fans in the eastern United States their first major queer convention experience. Since its announcement earlier this year, the convention has been steadily gaining momentum and notoriety for their transparency and impressive guest list. The popularity of queer-centered conventions has been on the rise in the past few years, but QFX East is delivering what appears to be an unprecedented experience to con goers with a massive line-up of film and television performers, voice actors, and writers from multiple genres and entertainment mediums.

Founded upon the pillars of accessibility, diversity, growth, inclusion, community, integrity, and transparency, QFX East and its parent organization, QFX Events promises to provide attendees with a safe, inclusive experience within which they can meet their favorite actors, voice actors, and writers from television shows such as Lost Girl, One Day at a Time, Wynonna Earp, Marvel’s Runaways, Steven Universe, and many more.

QFX Events has already established itself as an organization that listens to, and respects queer fans and the content they’ve come to love – while actively engaging with fans via Twitter through giveaways, guest announcement hints, and charitable partnerships. It is perhaps this commitment to the LGBTQ+ community that has afforded QFX Events the opportunity to bring multiple fandoms, ones that have never formally mingled in a convention environment before, together to create an unforgettable weekend for all guests.

Starry Constellation Magazine has been following QFX Events as a supporter since the event was introduced, which is why we are honored to announce that QFX Events has given us an exclusive sneak peek at their upcoming guest announcement. This guest is an incredible actor, musician, and fashion icon with an illustrious career- who has never before set foot on the convention circuit. You might know them from a little Netflix show called Atypical as one half of a pretty beloved ship.

Have any guesses yet?

Starry Constellation Magazine is thrilled to announce that the next fan-favorite to join the QFX Events guest line-up is none other than the incomparable Brigette Lundy-Paine. The actor, who publicly came out as non-binary on Instagram last month, has had an impressive career thus far, starring on Atypical as Casey Gardner and will soon appear on the big screen as Billie Logan in Bill & Ted Face the Music next year. This will be Brigette’s first appearance at a multi-fandom convention.

Please join QFX Events and Starry Constellation Magazine in welcoming Brigette to the ever-growing family of actors, creators, performers, and allies who will be attending this landmark event.
