Q) How would you describe your sound?

A) I consider myself to be an alternative pop artist with a Latin pop/R&B sound.

Q) Who are some of your musical influences?

A) Some of my musical influences are Christina Perri, Selena and Adele.

Q) Talk about the story behind your new song “Time.”

A) “Time” is a ballad I wrote about wishing time was mine. Many times, in life we take the best moments for granted. Moments we spend with someone we love who have passed or perhaps the best childhood memories and not having not one worry in the world.

Q) What do you think it is about the song that fans connect to?

A) I think listeners connect to this song because I feel everyone has at least one favorite moment from their past they would love to go back to. If time was really ours, I think some of us would want to go back in time to relive the best moments of our lives.

Q) How does the video for the track play into the message behind it?

A) The videos in the track are from my childhood. Some clips show my parents when they were still together as well as my grandparents when they were still alive. May they RIP. The song is about me wishing time was mine to go back to some of those beautiful moments in the footage. What I would do to have another day with my grandparents and see my family together again.

Q) What is your song writing process? Do you need music before you can create lyrics?

A) My songwriting process changes every time, but I would say usually the melody comes first and then the concept and lyrics are sparked from that. Then, I do a rough recording of my idea and present it to a producer to take it to the next level.

Q) You’ve worked with a number of producers in the past, but how much of hand do you have in the production of your own music?

A) I am happy to say that because I am an indie artist, I have had a lot of control over my music including the production of my songs. The production process is actually one of my favorite parts of creating a song since I get to collaborate with a producer and take the song to the next level in the production process.

Q) Fans loved your last EP in 2020. Will there be a full album or EP coming soon?

A) There is definitely a new single coming out in the beginning of 2023 and there may be an EP coming soon as well.

Q) Where are some of your favorite places to perform and what makes those locations so significant to you?

A) I really love performing in certain local clubs and restaurants like The Irving Inn in Rahway, NJ, which is one of the places where I first started out my music career. It really brings me back to my roots and I love the warm and welcoming vibes of the venue. I also really love doing the major festivals out in NYC like the 116th Latin Festival since I get to celebrate my Latin heritage and see many families come together.

Q) Who would you most like to collaborate with on a song in the future?

A) I would love to collaborate with Camila Cabello since she is also Cuban like me and I think our voices would go so well together. She has more of a soprano sounding voice and mine is a bit more on the lower sultry side which I think would make for a nice blend of sound for a record.

Q) What album/band are you currently listening to and why do you dig them?

A) I have been listening to a lot of Paramore lately, which is one of my favorite bands. They just came out with a new single that caught my attention and regained my interest in them. I think they have come a long way in terms of style and sound and have become one of the most diverse sounding bands out there.

Q) You are a part of social media. Why is that such an important way for you to connect with your fans?

A) I feel that a lot of my fans are not close by and can’t come to my shows, so social media allows me the opportunity to reach them and share my music with them which is why I think it’s important to have an online presence as a musician.

Q) What would you like to say to everyone who is a fan and supporter of you and your work?

A) I know my purpose on this earth is to create and uplift others with my music. I would be so honored if you took a listen to my music and came along with me for the ride as I grow as a singer/songwriter.
