Room 104 tackles the 80’s cartoon world this week, as our characters Finley (Jordyn Lucas) and Grey (Natasha Perez) navigate becoming women in a hair-raising way. The pan into Room 104 shows that a cleaning lady is currently in there freshening up the room, but the main focus goes to underneath the bed where we see Finley and Grey hiding. Once the cleaning lady leaves, the room is used for the two besties to binge on junk food, play with makeup, read magazines and gush over their entrance into high school the following year.

Right away we find out that Finley has gone through “it” already and that Grey is behind all her female classmates. Curious as to what “it” feels like, Grey pushes Finley to tell her everything she can about what it will be like when she finally gets there. Finley is eager to change the subject and brings out her older sister’s high school yearbook to check out the upperclassmen—mainly, the boys. Immediately, Grey starts getting googly-eyed over John Mackie (Jake Green) and Finley encourages her to call and invite him to their hangout. When John answers the phone and Grey is nervously navigating her way through the conversation, Finley gives her a hand and invites John. Ultimately, he accepts the invitation and arrives to their room.

As John enters it is obvious that he is working to alienate the two friends from one another and sow discourse into their friendship. They drink the one beer he brought and fight for John’s affections while they watch television. Eventually fed up with the antics, Grey grabs her Walkman and heads into the bathroom to get away from everyone.

With Grey out of the picture John decides to try and put the moves on Finley. She tries to rebuff his advances only to find that John morphs into a Hulk-like character. But Finley is not without a few tricks of her own as she morphs into a werewolf and tries to fend off John’s advances. Grey remains in the bathroom, unaware of the epic fight going on outside the bathroom door. John manages to overpower Finley and breaks her arm before throwing her down on the bed.

Fed up with being in the bathroom Grey comes out to John standing over Finley and acts quickly. Grey ends up jumping on John’s back to try and pummel him, but he is too strong and throws over into the table. With both Finley and Grey unable to fight back, John decides to go for Grey as she is considered the weaker of the two. But as John goes to touch Grey’s leg he gets cut on a hair. Grey has finally gotten “it” and turns into a werewolf herself. Before going to fight John, Grey manages to heal Finley’s arm so that the battle is more even.

Yet Finley and Grey separately cannot fight off John. They then realize they must merge together to defeat him. The plan works and the Finley-Grey hybrid knocks John down and back to his normal self. In the final scene Finley and Grey dance to some 80’s themed-music in werewolf form, celebrating their friendship.
