Q) How would you describe your sound?

A) It’s definitely pop! I love country too, so I take some inspiration from that music as well!

Q) Who are some of your musical influences?

A) I would say it’s Camila Cabello right now, but I have always loved Taylor Swift and Katy Perry.

Q) Talk about the story behind your new song “La La.”

A) The song is all about when I was younger and on shows like “The Ellen Show,” where I didn’t know I could sing and I didn’t really get the opportunity to sing. “La La” is all about finding my wings and following my dreams!

Q) What do you think it is about the song that fans connect to?

A) I think lots of people can relate to the song at some point in their lives, whether they are trying to get better grades or trying to do better in their ballet class. Whatever it is, I hope people will relate to the message, which is “follow your dreams and find your wings,” like I did!

Q) How will the video for the track play into the message behind it?

A) The video is based on the same message of fighting for what you love, working hard at it and finding the confidence to shine! The video is so amazing and gives others their time to shine, too! It’s out on 3rd August on my YouTube channel.

Q) What is your song writing process? Do you need music before you can create lyrics?

A) The process always starts with Skype calls from the UK to the US with our music team – Jordan Richman, Heather Miley and Griffith Frank.

Q) How much of a hand do you have in the production of your music?

A) I always go write the songs and then throughout the recording process we listen back and discuss ideas! It’s so much fun!

Q) What can fans expect from a live Rosie McClelland performance?

A) If I’m performing “Handstand” you can expect an energetic and fun performance with dancers and if I am performing “La La” this will be more based on the vocals, ballads and emotions of the song!

Q) Will there be a full EP or album coming in the near future?

A) Absolutely. My dream is to release an album and go on tour.

Q) Who would you most like to collaborate with on a song in the future?

A) Shawn Mendes or Lady Gaga

Q) What album/band are you currently listening to and why do you dig them?

A) Ok, I’m obsessed with Camila Cabello and Shawn Mendez but I still love Little Mix too.

Q) We loved you and Sophia Grace on “The Ellen Show!” What were some of your favorite memories from your appearances?

A) I loved the funny little conversations we used to have with Ellen [DeGeneres]! Sophia and I used to prep backstage, but ended up never sticking to what we spoke about – we would always just say what came out at the time! We loved running down the steps to Ellen!

Q) What inspires you to create your videos and posts for social media?

A) I watch a lot of other influencers and celebs and take inspiration from them, but ultimately, I just do what’s fun and what makes me happy!

Q) You are a part of social media. Why is that such an important way for you to connect with your fans?

A) It is so powerful. You can post a video or picture and reach so many people in seconds! I have amazing fans, so I love to connect with them daily.

Q) What would you like to say to everyone who is a fan and supporter of you and your work?

A) Thank you. I am so thankful for the endless support and kind comments I get every day. I try to be kind to everyone and I feel I get that back a lot so I am so lucky with my fans.
