Q) In “Why Women Kill” you play a waitress from the 1960’s. Please give us a sneak peek as to who and what your character is all about.

A) April, a waitress in the 1960s, you’ll see is a typical flower child full of ambition of vibrant spirit and infectious personality. She is truly amazing in every which way, shape or form, but has some hidden secrets in between one that I know the fans will love to get to know her and to follow her journey throughout the series.

Q) Many know you from your work on “Mom,” but this character seems a bit darker. What drew you to this script and wanting to a part of it?

A) First, of course, working with the iconic Marc Cherry and secondly getting to play a character that would definitely be challenging and also rewarding – a different change to what I did previously on the series “Mom.” I truly think and I know this opportunity has allowed me to grow in many different ways and I can’t wait for the fans to get to know April better!

Q) What did you find challenging about your portrayal of April?

A) Her sense of ambition probably number one or number two learning and getting to learn what makes her tick. The whole project has been a growing experience for me and I think one that will definitely change me as the series continues!

Q) Were you familiar with any of your costars before working with them on the show?

A) Of course! Many I have seen in previous works admired and looked up to. It’s been amazing to learn from them each day and apply it into my work

Q) Talk about working with iconic creator Marc Cherry.

A) He has been a dream to work with and one that has been on my bucket list for the longest time to be around. His tireless work ethic and drive to bring the stories to life is the greatest part of being on the series and I truly do feel I will continue to learn from him. He has allowed me to grow with this character 100% through and through.

Q) What can you tease were some of your favorite scenes to film?

A) One scene that stands out for me was when Ginnifer Goodwin and I were rollerblading. Picture it. But the best part of it was trying to rollerblade when wearing corsets, which left a lot of us laughing. It is definitely one of the most memorable ones for me.

Q) How did you shake off a long day of filming “Why Women Kill?”

A) Hanging with my dog, doing yoga and reconnecting with my family and friends. I have been blessed so far in this journey, but I always remember to take time for me.

Q) What do you think it is about the series that will intrigue fans the most?

A) The complex storylines, the amazing characters that go along with it and, finally, there will always be something to look forward to from one episode to the next one that will definitely be a cliffhanger for all of the viewers.

Q) The series “Mom” is still such a fan favorite. What did you personally take away from your time working on the show?

A) Every experience I have had including being on the series “Mom” has been a growing experience in my acting career and I take everything I learn and take it to the next project that I do! I believe fully that each experience I learn and it makes me want to do better!

Q) What would you like to say to everyone who is a fan and supporter of you and the work you do?

A) Thank you for the love and support. Without you guys I would not be here and be able to experience what I have so far!
