Q) How would you describe your sound?

A) Right now, I would say it’s alternative pop with R&B influences. I’m still figuring it out.

Q) Growing up, who have been some of your favorite artists?

A) I was obsessed with Marina, Marc Anthony, Luther Vandross, Amy Winehouse and Kehlani.

Q) Your single “Evil Twin” is out now! I absolutely loved it. It was very deep, what was the inspiration this song?

A) The inspiration was just about being honest with my mental health struggles and telling a story.

Q) How much of a hand did you in the production and writing “Evil Twin?”

A) I don’t do production as much as I should. All that genius was left to Benzi! But I had a very heavy hand in the writing.

Q) What kind of response have you been receiving from the fans about the single?

A) It has been a very positive response, more people resonated with the song than I anticipated.

Q) What are you hoping that people take away from listening to “Evil Twin?”

A) I’m not sure. I think if the song moves them in some wayward whether they resonate or just enjoy the story.

Q) You raise awareness for mental health and are very vocal about your own struggles. What has been the most difficult aspect for you as an artist and dealing with mental health?

A) I believe the most difficult aspect of it all is the fact that as an artist people expect you to be on your A game all the time. I worry sometimes I won’t be able to keep up with my life due to my mental health issues. Being expressive is so healing and beautiful but also it makes people feel like they are owed an explanation or need to know everything about me, when sometimes I want to be reclusive about what’s going on.

Q) “Evil Twin” is amazing! What can fans expect from you next? Is there an EP or album on the way?

A) Thank you! I am working on an EP and more songs will be on the way.

Q) Where have been some of your favorite places to perform and where do you look forward to going next?

A) So far, my favorite place has been pianos and baby’s all right in NYC. I hope to perform in Hawaii one day.

Q) Who would you love to collaborate with on a song in the future?

A) FKA Twigs would be a dream.

Q) You are a part of social media. Why is that such an important way to connect with your fans?

A) The internet is what brings us together and also brings us a part in certain ways. I want to utilize it in the most positive way possible.

Q) What would you like to say to the fans and supporters of your music?

A) Thank you for riding with me. I have so much more for y’all.
