According to Nana, to make it in the entertainment business it takes “guts, stamina and faith.” It is what she reminds Buster of when he is desperate to take his show to the next level and fails. However, it with that little nudge that Buster manages to worm his way into an audition for Mr. Crystal – the owner of a prestigious hotel who is looking for new talent. From there the magical and musical film Sing 2 takes viewers on a rough but heartwarming ride that encourages you to keep dreaming and that those we have loved and lost are with us now and always.

Sing 2 finds Buster Moon (Matthew McConaughey) and company performing an Alice in Wonderland themed show at his theater. The performance is successful, but a scout (Chelsea Peretti) turns him down for a spot to pitch a musical in front of Mr. Crystal (Bobby Cannavale). Determined to snatch a spot, he gets the crew together and has them head to Crystal’s hotel. Despite being rejected, Gunter (Nick Kroll) is able to convince Crystal to let them put on a space themed show, which includes the promise of recluse famed singer Clay Calloway (Bono) participating.

Can Buster pull off a successful performance or will he embarrass Crystal with a flop? To create a showstopping spectacle it will take the help of returning pals Rosita (Reese Witherspoon), Ash (Scarlett Johansson), Johnny (Taron Egerton), Meena (Tori Kelly) and Gunter and some new ones – Porsha (Halsey) and Pooshy (Letitia Wright) – to make sure there is a hit on their hands. Add in some epic dance scenes, a bunch of tremendous tunes, a sweet B-story of Calloway healing after the loss of his beloved wife and such warmth from pals uniting and you’ve got a winning combo!

Writer/Director Garth Jennings amazes. Not only does he pull of incredible performances by the cast but provides plenty of levity as goofy right-hand woman Mrs. Crawley. Viewers will fall hard for this sequel and find their little ones watching it over and over. It’s just the positivity and goodness we all need right now. So, be sure to catch Sing 2 to give yourself a moment of musical bliss.
