Q) How would you describe your sound?

A) Melodic, aggressive and infectious

Q) Who are some of your musical influences?

A) I love all styles of music. Some of my early influences in life range from classic rock bands, punk, metal, hip hop, anything with a hook really!

Q) Talk about the story behind your new song “Run.”

A) There’s several things going on in that song, even though it’s pretty straight forward! We really enjoy letting the listener take away whatever they want from our songs. It keeps things interesting that way!

Q) What do you think it is about the song that fans connect to?

A) It’s got an emotional/dark vibe to it, but it’s largely moving at a breakneck speed for most of the track. It’s fun!

Q) How does the video for the track play into the message behind it?

A) We wanted the video to match the energy of the track and to also offer intense visuals.

Q) What is your song writing process? Do you need music before you can create lyrics?

A) We like to either break out acoustic guitars and write that way or be in the room together and see what comes out through jamming. I write lyrics without any music on a daily basis.

Q) How much of hand do you have in the production of your music?

A) I’m right there along with everybody else. We all work hard to make sure the songs come out as best as they can!

Q) What are some themes you explore on your new self-titled album?

A) Lyrically speaking, it kind of goes through a roller coaster of emotions… Love, loss, anger, depression and even little notes to remind us all that we should appreciate the little things in life.

Q) What tracks challenged you the most to create?

A) They were all fun to put together.

Q) What songs on the album hold a special meaning to you and why?

A) All of them are great. It’s hard to pick one in particular. It changes on a weekly basis.

Q) What do you hope listeners take away from listening to this new album?

A) I hope that when people hear the album, it makes them feel something. That’s what music is supposed to do!

Q) You are back on tour now. Where are some of your favorite places to perform and what makes those locations so significant to you?

A) As long as you have a stage, we’ll play it! We absolutely love our Virginia and West Virginia family though!

Q) Who would you most like to collaborate with on a song in the future?

A) I think a collaboration with Halsey would be amazing.

Q) What album/band are you currently listening to and why do you dig them?

A) The new Turnstile album is great and I’m also digging the new Volumes stuff!

Q) You are a part of social media. Why is that such an important way for you to connect with your fans?

A) I don’t really utilize social media to share anything of my private life, but I do love messaging back our fans. I try not to ever miss any messages!

Q) What would you like to say to everyone who is a fan and supporter of you and your work?

A) Thank you so much for your endless support. We love you!
