We are on another week of auditions for “So You Think You Can Dance” on Fox. As always, Laurieann Gibson, Mary Murphy, Nigel Lythgoe and Dominic Sandoval are judging, while Cat Deeley hosts.

The first audition is Jalen Sands, who does a contemporary routine. It is not quite like ones we have seen before. I can’t quite put my finger on what it is different, but there you go. She gets to the Academy.

Trent and Colton Edwards of “America’s Got Talent” fame are up next. They are funny and cute, but I’m not sure how I feel about them as dancers. They are impressive for only have danced three years, but they remind me more of fun wedding dancers. However, they are sent to the Academy.

Brian Clocks Volozanin is the next one to audition. He auditioned in Season 12 and is back for another chance. Watching him is like watching a story come to life. He is entertaining, inspiring and makes me smile. The judges enjoyed it and send him to the Academy.

We see a montage of dancers (some of which are with alumni) perform and head to the Academy. Then, we get to Antonio Frias who tries to do a salsa routine by himself. It reminds me of club dancing until they pull some random dancer from the audience to help him out. However, it is not enough and he is sent home.

Sydney Burtis is up next. She has mild autism and uses dance as a way to express herself. She does a tap routine, which is wonderful, despite the bad music choice. I agree with Nigel on that one. The judges love her enthusiasm and send her to the Academy.

Jarrod Tyler Paulson and Madison Jordan are up next. They are a couple, but they are auditioning as soloists. She has alopecia and says it has taken a toll on her. However, she is still determined to dance. They both do wonderful contemporary routines, but Jarrod slipped at one point during a spin. After some back and forth on their relationship, the two are told they are going to the Academy.

More in two weeks, stay tuned.
