Q) What inspired you to become a musical artist?

A) I think music and performing is something that’s always been in my blood. I have been performing for as long as I can remember. Whether it is on stage or in my house I always love putting on a show! As I grew, my love for music grew deeper through the years.

Q) As a young artist, what are your goals as you grow in the industry?

A) I want to touch as many people as I can with my music, to have my music heard all over the world. I hope that my music and shows help people get through their day and inspires all. I hope that my music allows me to travel the world and connect with people of all different cultures and that my travels help me gain inspiration for writing.

Q) What message do you want listeners to get from your new song “Fall Back Down?”

A) I like keeping “Fall Back Down” open for interpretation. I want every listener to have a unique and personal experience when listening to this track and all my tracks! However, in a more general sense, my new single sends a message that you don’t always have to be the person people expect you to be. Sometimes there’s a difference between the image you have of a person and who they really are.

Q) What do you think it is about the song that fans connect to?

A) I think fans connect with the idea of having control over their life, who they are, who they want to be and allowing themselves to escape from the pressure of other peoples’ expectations.

Q) What is your songwriting process? Do you need music before you can write lyrics?

A) My songwriting process varies. My preferred creation style is writing the lyrics first with a melody in mind. Then, my producer Bryce Harding and I sit down and create the instrumental part of the track. There are some songs on my new upcoming album, WAR, that Bryce and I wrote the music for before the lyrics, but I do not need music to create a song!

Q) Are you working towards releasing an EP or album?

A) My sophomore album WAR is set to release in late 2020. We have lots of fun stuff coming before then! Within the next couple of months, the “Fall Back Down” lyric video will release! Shortly after that I have two more singles with corresponding videos releasing. Can’t wait for the fans to see all the amazing stuff my team and I have been working on.

Q) What are you looking forward to most as your career progresses?

A) I cannot wait to meet more fans, make new fans, connect with people and share my music to the world. My greatest hope is that I can inspire others.

Q) How was performing live for the first time during your High School Nation tour?

A) I am no stranger to the stage. I have been in children’s productions, church choir and playing violin since I was four. Shortly after that I started musical theater and was a part of the Detroit Youth Symphony Orchestra. When I was nine years old I became a part of my first singing group, The Motor City Melodies. At the age of twelve I became very interested in song writing and starting writing and composing music.

Q) Who would be your dream artist to collaborate with?

A I have many artists that I would love to work with. At the moment, I would love to do a collaboration with Dua Lipa. She is a super upbeat pop artist and I think it would be really fun working with her.

Q) Were you surprised to learn that your song “Ice Cream” was popular on Tik-Tok?

A) It was super cool seeing my song “Ice Cream” evolve on Tik-Tok. It was super unexpected and such an awesome way to showcase that song. The upbeat, energetic and fun platform Tik-Tok is a perfect fit for my song Ice Cream and I think Tik-Tok users had a lot of fun creating videos to my song.

Q) Who are some artists you are into at the moment?

A) I love listening to all different styles and genres of music! A new upcoming artist I am listening to is Jessame. I’m also listening to a lot of Dua Lipa, Mabel, Miguel, Meghan Trainor and upcoming artist Emily Perry.

Q) What would you like to say to everyone who are fans and supporters of your music?

A) I am extremely grateful for everyone who has supported me on my music journey. If it wasn’t for my fans support, I wouldn’t be where I am today.
