Q) How would you describe your sound?

A) An Electronic pop Fusion with a grungy edge.

Q) Who are some of your musical influences?

A) Muse, Michael Jackson, Post Malone, Prince, Linkin Park, Drake, The Weeknd, Nirvana, Anderson Paak, Hablot Brown, The Red Hot Chili Peppers…the list goes on.

Q) Toronto has become such a great hub for music artists. What makes it such a significant place for artists these days?

A) Toronto is such a big city with a great live music scene.

Q) Talk about the story behind your new song “Libertine.”

A) “Libertine” is a song that I wrote while I was going through a long-distance relationship. I was trying to juggle music and a full-time job as well and it was just too much to handle at the time. I tried my best to hold the relationship together, but it ended eventually. During the breaking point I was spending a lot of my time downtown with my friends trying to keep my mind off things… We spent a lot of time at a place called “The Libertine” and that’s where the song title came from.

Q) What do you think it is about the song that fans connect to?

A) I think that a lot of people can relate to “Libertine” because it’s about romance. I feel like a lot of people have had similar experiences in their lives…

Q) What is your song writing process? Do you need music before you can create lyrics?

A) It depends on the process. It is different every time. I don’t really have a set strategy when it comes to creating my music/lyrics…I feel like it’s more exciting this way.

Q) Adam Bertucci lent you a hand with production for “Libertine,” but how much of a say do you typically have in the production of your music?

A) I had a version of “Libertine” finished already that I had sent to Adam. I sent him all the stems to the song for him to add to and built on. Once he was finished, we got together at his studio about a week later to add some finishing touches to complete the record. I am fairly open minded when it comes to collaboration. If I like what I hear… it gets printed.

Q) Will there be a full album or EP coming in the near future?

A) I just released my five song EP After Love on the 6th of May.

Q) Where are some of your favorite places to perform and what makes those locations so significant to you?

A) My favorite place to ever perform was at a venue called The Sound Academy (which is now called Rebel) located in Downtown Toronto. It has a place in my heart because it was my first big show back when I was younger…a night that I will never forget.

Q) Who would you most like to collaborate with on a song in the future?

A) I would love to collaborate with The Weeknd. I am a huge fan of his new sound and I feel like we can create something timeless together.

Q) What album/band are you currently listening to and why do you dig them?

A) Right now, I am really into the band Hablot Brown. I feel like they are extremely unique, and I also really love their production.

Q) You are a part of social media. Why is that such an important way for you to connect with your fans?

A) Social media is very important to me when it comes to connecting to my fans because it gives me the opportunity to show my love and appreciation to people around the world. It allows me to connect with them virtually on a deeper, more personal level.

Q) What would you like to say to everyone who is a fan and supporter of you and your work?

A) I’d like everyone to know how much I appreciate the love and support. It is the greatest feeling in the world to have people believe in you and what you’re doing…
