Q) How would you describe your sound?

A) Energetic & happy.

Q) Who are some of your musical influences?

A) There are many excellent artists who inspire us. Max Martin is one of the names, but in electronic music I would definitely say Axwell.

Q) Talk about the story behind your new song “Heaven.”

A) We have had the opportunity to work with Sam Martin on several other tracks. When “Heaven” came up it supposed to be on David Guetta’s album, but at the end it didn’t make it to the album, so we’ve talked to Sam and he gave us the green light to finish the song. When “Heaven” was made, Azahriah released his song “Four Moods” at that time and sang almost the entire song in English. That’s when we thought how good it would be to include him on the song. Azi is a very talented guy who would definitely deserve international recognition.

Q) Azahriah teamed up with you to create the song. What kind of thoughts did he offer that were helpful in molding “Heaven?”

A) We wanted to give Azahriah complete creative freedom. This is exactly the point of a collaboration, and it would have been a shame to limit his character.

Q) How did you connect with singer Sam Martin to be featured on the track?

A) We have already made many songs together over the years with Sam. He is a very talented singer and songwriter. The first time was back in 2014, when we made a remix for him.

Q) What do you think it is about the song that fans connect to?

A) A song means something different to everyone, so it’s hard to say exactly what kind of emotion it can evoke from someone. What caught us in the song was that even though it is a ballad, the song has a different approach and a unique atmosphere.

Q) How does the video for the track play into the message behind it?

A) We definitely didn’t want to start on a love line, but it was important to talk about emotions and relationships. In the clip our hero actually saves his friend and makes sure that she can start with a clean start.

Q) What is your song writing process? Do you hear a beat in your head, or do you tend to fiddle with various sounds before you find something that you’ll settle on?

A) For both of us, the most important creative phase when writing songs is the songwriting process itself. This usually comes from a topline or even a rhyme. There is also an example of a melody that starts the creative process. Only in the case of club music we used to start with the groove or beats where the dominant thing is to make the sound more energetic.

Q) For songs with singers, do you need come up with a sound before you can create lyrics or do you let the artist hear the beat and then come up with their own lyrics?

A) When we start a song and send the demo or riff to a vocalist, we must aim for simplicity and use only the most essential part of the song. The one that gives you emotions or instant creative input. Otherwise, there will be too many factors that distracts attention and make it harder to create or to come up with an idea that fits in.

Q) How much of hand do you have in the production of your music?

A) In most cases, we try to do everything ourselves. Producing, mixing and mastering and there is also sometimes a small songwriting part. However, there are cases when you just don’t have time to do the final master or mixdown because there are other tracks you need to work on. So, in that case we have great people in the team who could help us to get the best result.

Q) Will you be releasing a full album or EP coming in the near future or are you focused on releasing singles for the time being?

A) We are sure that one day the point will come when so many unreleased songs will be collected that it will be possible to make an album. We are currently trying to focus on joint projects with other artists and songwriters.

Q) Where are some of your favorite places to perform and what makes those locations so significant to you?

A) Ibiza is definitely our favorite place, in terms of festivals, Tomorrowland.

Q) Who would you most like to collaborate with on a song in the future?

A) Among songwriters, Ryan Tedder would be amazing, and among DJ/producers, Axwell.

Q) What artists/musicians are you currently listening to and why do you dig them?

A) It would be very difficult to single out one artist from the list. We listen to a lot of music and are constantly looking for inspiration.

Q) What would you like to say to everyone who is a fan and supporter of you and your work?

A) Thank you for your love and support over the years and we hope to see you live soon!
