Kirsten Clark (Emma Ishta) comes home and Camille Engelson (Allison Scagliotti) assumes that she’s doing the walk of shame.  Kirsten explains that she and Cameron (Kyle Harris) didn’t do anything other than kiss and cuddle.  Meanwhile, Cameron does pushups while Linus (Ritesh Rajan) counts.  He asks when he’ll stop doing this and Cameron says he will as soon as he develops a filter that allows his intimacy with Kirsten to not affect the stitches.  Linus talks to him about his hand shakes during the stitches and recommends that Camille pilot the stitches from now on.  Kirsten shows Camille the brain map that she hacked from NSA data and asks her to help finish the data collection so that they can save her mom faster.  Camille is thrilled at the idea of defying the NSA, but Kirsten asks that she hide their plan from Cameron.

At a hotel, a couple finds a body that has been thrown off the roof.  Detective Quincy Fisher (Damon Dayoub) informs the team that the victim has not been identified, was shot before thrown off the roof and had his finger shot off as well.  Cameron wants to pilot the stitch, but Kirsten and Camille don’t think it’s a good idea due to his performance anxiety.  Reluctantly, Cameron hands over the reigns to Camille and Kirsten gives her the brain map.  The team makes fun of Cameron’s ‘performance issues’ as Camille starts the stitch.

Kirsten finds herself in a gallery with various sculptures and no sign of John Doe.  She insists on staying and looking around, but Cameron wants her to bounce.  Camille reminds him that this is her stitch and he reminds her that this is his lab.  Cameron orders Linus to move Kirsten to the next hotspot, but Camille tells him to not do that.  Fisher gets word that the tattoo on the victim’s arm belongs to the British Royal Marines.  Kirsten describes the sculptures in the stitch and nobody is able to figure out what it means.  Cameron figures out that John Doe encoded his memories in pictures and orders Linus to move into a language-processing cortex.  Camille argues with him and demands Kirsten talk to her.  Upon examining one of the sculptures, an image of a golden snake lunges at Kirsten and she bounces.

Cameron checks on Kirsten and demands to know that she and Camille are up to.  Camille argues with him and Kirsten takes responsibility before explaining her plan.  She tells them that the golden snake killed John Doe and they figure out that John Doe was a spy based on his secret mind palace and his royal tattoo.  Kirsten describes the sculptures to Linus and he recreates them in Photoshop.  She sees Cameron leave and he tells her that he’s going rogue like she did.  She follows him to the elevator and offers to apologize again.  He confronts her about going behind his back and tells her that she needs to trust him.  Cameron admits that he’s constantly worried about her and she suggests they break up if she’s causing him so much pain.  He agrees to try and not worry too much as long as she doesn’t go rogue again without him.

Dexter Abbott (Don Wallace) tells Cameron and Kirsten that MI6 refuses to cooperate with the NSA.  They tell him that they believe their victim was MI6, and he asks for proof.  They tell him about the tattoo, and he believes that is not proof that he was MI6.  He criticizes the NSA for expecting cooperation without giving any in return.  Cameron asks what he wants and calls Fisher afterwards telling him that an agent, Chloe Marks (Teressa Liane), was arrested.  He asks Fisher if Stephanie Fisher (Erin Cahill) can pull some strings for her release.  Fisher asks Stephanie for her help, but can’t reveal why they need Marks released.  After some convincing, she agrees to help.  He offers her dinner, but she tells him that this favor goes way beyond dinner.

Cameron and Kirsten pick up Marks from jail, and they tell her that Abbott sent them.  She asks them to take her home and explains that the hotel kicked her out.  Cameron agrees to take her back to his place, even though Kirsten is not happy about it.  Camille and Linus investigate the crime scene and try to figure out what the images mean.  Linus suggests talking to Ivy Brown (Sarah Davenport) and Camille is not happy hearing about Ivy.  He insists that she would like Ivy if she got to know her and suggests that they get past this.  She reminds him that she lost the promotion for trusting Ivy, but Linus says that isn’t her or his fault.  He offers her to come over and get to know Ivy, but she tells him that she has plans.  Linus asks her who she is seeing and she has him promise not to tell anyone before admitting that she’s dating Amanda (Anna Akana).  She decides to invite Linus and Ivy over to her place for a double date.

Cameron and Kirsten argue over who is staying at the loft while the other goes to get John Doe’s identity from Abbott.  Marks approaches them fresh out of the shower naked and asks for some clothes.  Flustered, Cameron says that Kirsten can help with that and he was about to leave.  Abbott identifies the body as John Harrington, an MI6 agent.  Cameron asks for case file that Harrington was working on, but Abbott says it was destroyed.  He tells Cameron that Harrington brought his wife to the states as part of his cover, but she was abducted and later presumed dead.  Harrington became desperate to find his wife’s killer and Marks was brought in when he went rogue.

Marks questions Kirsten about her relationship with Cameron, but Kirsten refuses to answer.  Kirsten asks if all agents are like her and she says the MI6 would be more fun if they were.  Marks figures that Kirsten doesn’t think much of her and tells her that her privileged family didn’t either.  Kirsten gets a text from Cameron with the information on Harrington and asks Marks about her assignment.  She mentions that he was her first assignment and that Harrington used to have a partner.  Linus presents his theory to Cameron that the golden snake is supposed to represent Harrington’s wife.  Cameron is skeptical and asks him with help with cracking a safe in Maggie’s (Salli Richardson-Whitfield) office.  Linus suggests asking her, but Cameron is unsure if Maggie would give him the answer.

Kirsten and Cameron prepare for their evening and find that Marks has let herself into Cameron’s apartment and is sporting a black eye.  Cameron gives her an ice pack and divulges that Abbott attacked her when she questioned his relationship with Harrington.  She announces that she’s done with MI6 and Cameron offers that she stayed there until her flight the next morning.  Amanda and Camille prepare dinner and share a couple of kisses before Linus arrives with Ivy.  Camille fakes a smile as she hugs Ivy and Amanda gives them drinks.  Cameron gets a text from Maggie that Harrington’s case file never existed and that Abbott lied to them.

Linus draws one of the pictures from the mind palace for Ivy.  Camille and Amanda bring over appetizers and Camille asks Linus to help Amanda get the crackers on the top shelf.  In the kitchen, Linus tells Amanda not to hurt Camille as Camille confronts Ivy in the living room.  Amanda doesn’t take kindly to Linus’ threats and Ivy insists that she is not like her father.  Amanda and Linus come back and everyone acts like everything is normal.  Stephanie tells Fisher that there might be an opening at the Department of Justice for her.  Fisher is happy for her and they agree to make their relationship work no matter what.  Kirsten looks at the images from the mind palace and comes to a revelation that paints Abbott as a possible suspect.  Cameron is worried about leaving Marks alone at his apartment and they decide to move her.

Kirsten brings Marks over to her and Camille’s place as Camille rushes out the door.  She asks if Marks can stay, but Camille admits that tonight might not be a good night.  Amanda comes over and Camille introduces her.  Outside, Kirsten tells Camille that she’s happy for her.  Kirsten shows them how a cow in the mind palace is linked to Abbott and implies that he had a role in Harrington’s death.  Fisher reveals that the bullet is linked to Abbott’s weapon and they prepare to arrest him.  They find Abbott’s office empty, but find Abbott on the floor upon further inspection.  He fires a weapon that narrowly misses Cameron and Kirsten before blacking out.

Amanda reports Abbott’s attack to Marks and tells her that they should stay put until everything blows over.  Linus reveals that he’s found a way to figure out the rest of the images in the mind palace.  Cameron tells Camille that he wants to pilot the stitch, admitting that he needs to confront his own stitching problems.  Camille hands over the reigns and Cameron leads the stitch.  Inside, Kirsten finds herself back in the gallery and Cameron agrees to let Kirsten map more of the area as Linus applies his new filter.  A door appears and opens to bright light.  Linus tells Kirsten that more memories can be found through the door.  She decides to walk through the door and find Harrington’s killer over building the brain map.

She finds herself at Harrington’s wedding and she recognizes many of the symbols in the memory.  Camille is able to pull up Harrington’s wedding records with the information.  Kirsten sees Abbott at the wedding and figures out that Abbott was having an affair with Harrington’s wife.  She realizes that Harrington’s finger was shot off so that his wife could get her family’s ring back.  She finally sees the face of Harrington’s bride and realizes that it’s Marks.  Camille comes to the same realization during her research and runs to get to Amanda in time.

Camille’s text to Amanda is not seen as Amanda continues to entertain Marks.  Camille arrives home and Marks is surprised to see her back so soon.  She can tell that Camille is nervous and sees the text on Amanda’s phone.  Marks grabs a knife and attacks Camille.  She pins Camille down and strangles her.  Amanda hits Marks’ head and Camille kicks her to subdue her.  The rest of the team arrives and takes Marks away.  Afterwards, Amanda bandages up Camille and thanks her for saving her life.  Camille admits that she was afraid of losing her, and that it’s hard for her to let people in.  She tells her that her life makes sense with her in it and they kiss.

Kirsten goes to see Cameron in his office, and they discuss the resolution of the case.  Kirsten thanks him for saving her and they kiss.  Cameron tells her that he found a machine in the safe that helps pick their cases.  He shows her that he cracked the safe and they realize that they can use it to pick the best cases to help her rescue her mother.
