Dean (Jensen Ackles) and Ketch (David Haydn-Jones) arrive on the Apocalypse Earth. “You do know where we are?” Ketch asks Dean, reminding him that they have only twenty-four hours. Dean says that the place is different from the last time he was there. Dean sarcastically adds there is not ‘we’ as Ketch came there to save himself.  But Ketch thinks that Dean could use his help to save the boy and his (Dean) mother. Plus, he owes Mary that. Dean comments that his mother would no sooner kill him the moment she lays eyes on him. Ketch doesn’t think the extra man power would hurt. So, Dean reluctantly brings him along. Walking a bit, Dean and Ketch come upon a scene where angels are smiting humans to execute them for high treason crimes against Michael. When her hood is removed, one of the humans facing execution is Charlie (Felicia Day)! One of the angels recognizes Charlie is being with the resistance and says that Michael will want her moved to the northern camp for interrogation. The Apocalypse Earth Charlie tells the angel that she will be there when his wings are grinded into dust.  It looks like no matter what Earth she is on, Charlie Bradbury has spunk!

Back at the Men of Letters bunker, Castiel (Misha Collins) can’t believe that Sam (Jared Padalecki) allowed Dean to go to Apocalypse Earth with Ketch. Sam explains that Dean wanted to go alone. But in the meantime, they can take care of Gabriel (Richard Speight Jr.). Sam and Castiel find Gabriel sitting in the corner on the floor. Castiel can’t believe that Gabriel is this bad. Sam realizes that years of torture by Asmodeus (Jeffrey Vincent Parise) has turned Gabriel into an archangel shell of himself. But Sam thinks that if they give Gabriel some to the grace that Ketch brought, being juiced up may work. But feeding Gabriel has angel grace won’t be easy.

Meanwhile in Heaven, Jo (Danneel Ackles) is annoyed that Lucifer (Mark Pellegrino) is sitting up in Heaven doing nothing instead of out doing kingly things. Lucifer thinks that Jo should be grateful to be his First Lady and serve him. When Duma (Erica Cerra) enters, Lucifer asks whether she has any news on his son. When she doesn’t have any information, Lucifer orders her to find Jack. But it seems that Duma is less than interested to obey the new King of Heaven. “No one would ever treat my old man that way. If he said scour the Earth, SOS or Brillo, “Lucifer tells Jo annoyed. But Jo reminds that God created the Earth and he just inherited it. And just a thought, if Lucifer wants to be treated like a ruler, he needs to start acting like one.

In Hell, Asmodeus tells his minion that they need to get Gabriel back.

On the Apocalypse Earth, Ketch questions Dean about why he is so concerned with saving this girl (Charlie). Dean explains that Charlie has seen Jack and Mary and can lead them to them. When Ketch walks away, Dean ends up getting shot. Ketch comes back and asks the Patrol Angel (Corey Schmitt) where he was going to take Dean, who shoots the Patrol Angel in the leg when he refuses to answer. “The silo,” the Patrol Angel says. “What silo?” Dean asks.

Back at the Men of Letters bunker, Castiel finds the room where Gabriel is now covered in angel script. Castiel tells Sam that the writing is Gabriel’s story starting with what appeared to be his death. We learn that when it looked like Lucifer has killed Gabriel with the angel blade in the Season 5 episode “Hammer of the God,” it was actually another illusion. So while everyone thought that Gabriel was dead, he was free of his responsibilities to God and did what anyone in his position would do…he moved to Monte Carlo and began shacking up with porn stars. But Gabriel was captured and delivered to Asmodeus, where he was tortured for years with Asmodeus feeding on his grace. Castiel realizes that Gabriel’s mind is still in-tact. He probably is not talking to them in order to protect himself.

In Heaven, Lucifer gets dressed up in a black suit and is ‘open for business,’ which means he’s to be God-like a listen to prayers. Annoyed, Lucifer calls those praying “whining losers.” Then, he hears something that piques his interest: an exorcism. Lucifer goes on Earth and asks the demon named Anthony who is possessing the girl (Bianca Caroca) what he is doing. “Just having a little fun,” Anthony responses. Lucifer orders Anthony to leave the girl’s body that the angel faces the two priests who were performing the exorcism. Lucifer explains who he is and gets offended when he is referred to as “the beast.” Lucifer said that God made him the fall guy. When the priests refuses to listen to him and continue splashing holy water on his new suit, Lucifer snaps his fingers and destroys them.

Back on the Apocalypse Earth, Dean tells Ketch that the bullet he used to shoot the Patrol Angel were angel killing bullets. Suddenly, Dean falls to the ground. Ketch lifts Dean’s shirt to check Winchester’s wound and doesn’t like what he sees.

At the Men of Letters bunker, Castiel tells Sam that he is trying to jump start Gabriel’s mind.

Ketch tells Dean that he was poisoned by a poison that the Men of Letters used to disable their monster prey. The bullets that the man used to shoot Dean must have been coated with the same poison. Ketch delivers the antidote.

Sam gives Gabriel a speech in which he tells the angel to fight because his family needs him. It may have been good hanging with hookers, but he needs to help save his family. “Porn stars. They were porn stars Sam,” Gabriel finally speaks correcting Sam.

On the Apocalypse Earth, Ketch asks Dean why this Charlie is so important to him. Dean explains that Charlie was like family to him. “She did more for Sam and me than I can say.” Dean feels that he let Charlie down. He asks what Ketch’s story is. Ketch tells Dean how he lost people on his watch too but the only difference is that he never tried to save them. “Perhaps saving this Charlie will wipe some of the stain from my hands,” Ketch tells Dean. Meanwhile, Charlie is questioned. But even when she is beaten during the interrogation, Charlie refuses to give away the location of the resistance’s base. So, she will die in the morning!

At the Men of Letters bunker, Gabriel takes his angel grace. “Is it helping?” Castiel asks Gabriel. Sam’s cellphone rings.  It is Asmodeus. He tells Sam that Winchester has something he wants. “Gabriel is no use to you in his current condition,” Asmodeus says. Asmodeus tells Sam that he has ten minutes to decide to return Gabriel to him or he’ll reduce the bunker to a pile of ash.

In Heaven, Lucifer whines that both humans and angels are flawed. So he has a new plan: The key to Lucifer’s bliss will be finding his son and getting angels to worship him (Lucifer). “I like this plan, great plan,” Lucifer tells Jo.  But Jo thinks a better plan would be to live up to his promise to make Heaven great again by creating new angels and giving the existing ones their wings back.  Lucifer admits that he lied about that and tells Jo to keep it a secret. Furious, Jo calls Lucifer useless; he might as well return to the cage. Angry, Lucifer grabs Jo by the throat. When he releases her, Jo walks away.

Dean and Ketch save Apocalypse Earth Charlie from being executed.

The alarms and lights go off in the Men of Letters bunker. Sam and Castiel do their best to fight off Asmodeus’ minions. Asmodeus appears and taunts Sam that there’s no warding that can keep him out. Gabriel is dragged off by Asmodeus’ remaining minions. Suddenly, Gabriels throws them off and his eyes light up and his wings appear. “I broke you, you’re too weak,” Asmodeus says. “Not anymore. And by the way, I always hated that dumb ass suit,” Gabriel tells Asmodeus, lighting him on fire. Goodbye Evil  Colonel Sanders!

Charlie can’t believe when Dean tells her about the other better Earth and how he was close with the other Charlie Bradbury. “How close?” Charlie asks. “She was into chicks,” Dean answers. “I like her already,” Charlie smiles. Dean continues telling Charlie about his mother and Jack.

Sam tells Gabriel about the Apocalypse Earth Michael and how they need his help. “Welcome to the team,” Sam tells Gabriel.   But Gabriel refuses to join Team Free Will and disappears.

Ketch and Charlie decide to remain on the Apocalypse Earth and asks Dean to bring back Sam and Gabriel to help fight Michael. “I can’t lose you again,” Dean tells Charlie. “That’s not your call,” Charlie says. So, Dean jumps through the rift. When he pops up in the Men of Letters bunker, Sam asks where their mom and Jack are. Dean explains that they are no longer with Michael and also that there’s a Charlie on the Apocalypse Earth and she kicks ass.  Dean learns that Sam and Castiel used Gabriel’s grace to heal him and Gabriel’s is gone. Dean is angry that Gabriel’s grace is gone because now they can’t open the door again. Why does this happen every time?! Dean laments. Castiel assures Dean that they will find Gabriel. “We better,” Dean says.
