Sam (Rachel Bilson) and Eddie Valetik (Eddie Cibrian) wake up naked together in bed with no memory of the previous 24 hours. The duo pay a visit to Mick English (Jordan Gavaris) and ask him to help them run a drug test on them and he happily accepts. While they are still in there, Sam sees the “ES4” written in one of her fingers but she has no idea to what it is referring

Later that day, they finally manage to go to the office only to be faced with Berto (Xavier de Guzman) and Monica (Alice Lee) who immediately question them why either of them weren’t picking up their phones. As Sam and Eddie feel embarrassed about not knowing what happened they decide to keep the truth from them and only say that their phones were stolen along with their wallets.

Berto reminds them that they have an appointment scheduled with the client they saw the day before which they do not know anything about. Eddie finds the key words “Sunset,” “Georgio,” “MKim” and “Falling Cap R” written on his notebook along with a blank business card. Unfortunately, none of it rings any bells. A few minutes later, a woman named Jackie Jarvis (Jewel Staite) enters the place carrying a dog and thanks them for their support on her case. As far as she confirms, they were supposed to help her find the dog, which luckily returned on his own.

After the woman leaves, Berto informs Eddie and Sam that he found some charges on his credit card from the night before at a place called Sunset Bistro, which might be related to one of the words he had written on his book. Eddie and Sam go to the place and are immediately greeted by the waiter (Riun Garner) that attended them the day before and they manage to get some information out of him about how they were talking to a man wearing a baseball cap and a beard. The duo goes back to the office and Monica shows them a picture of them kissing, something that forces Eddie and Sam to explain about their blackout to her and Berto. The realness of the kiss is evident, something that doesn’t go unnoticed by the duo. In the picture the man the waiter just described can be seen sitting in the table behind them. Berto and Monica manage to find a Rideshares receipts from both Eddie and Sam that would explain how they ended up at the man’s apartment. Eddie and Sam decide to part ways in order to figure out what happen the night before.

Eddie pays a visit to Zeus (Lamont Thompson) and tells him about his current situation. Zeus confronts Eddie about his feelings for Sam but he still has his guard on. A customer approaches and hands Zeus a bill so he scans it with a laser, which mistakenly shed some light on Eddie’s skin revealing there’s something in there. Eddie asks for the laser and sees the letter “O” shining in blue painted on his right hand which pops an idea for him.

In the meantime, Sam shows up at a AA meeting after seeing herself in a picture kissing Eddie and holding a drink. She explains to the group that even though she doesn’t remember anything about what happened, seeing herself holding the beverage what was led her to the meeting after been sober for so long.

Some time after, Eddie and Sam meet at the office and he tells her what he found. Also, he scans the blank card he had and it shows the same letter that he had on his hand along with an address. Both arrive at the place but before they enter Eddie receives a call from Det. Rollins (Aliyah O’Brien) that demands to know why he stood her up. According to the woman, he was supposed to meet her the day before at Georgia’s but he never showed up. Eddie apologizes and realizes that the place’s name was also written on his notebook. When they enter the place, they see a picture of a woman called Miss Kim or “MKIM” just as it was also written in his notes. They keep walking through the room until they are met with a Dominatrix (Stefania Indelicato) who asks them if they are ready to start. But before they do, they show her the picture of the man wearing a baseball cap and the woman shifts her mood and asks them to go away. In a minute, they are taken out of the club and all of a sudden two men appear out of nowhere, cover their heads and get them into a car. When their hoods are removed, they find that they are faced with Mistress Kim (Leeah Wong) who questions them about “Trevor.” Everything gets confusing as Eddie and Sam believe that the woman is asking about the “dog” (which they still believe was the first step that led them to be left with a blank memory of the last day), but she is actually referring to “the man wearing a baseball cap.”

Berto and Monica meet with Rupert (Babak A. Motamed), the Rideshare driver that took Sam and Eddie to the last one’s apartment. He shows them the footage of the ride and Monica pays him to hand her the video. The next day, Eddie and Sam are shown the footage of themselves, sitting naked next to each other in the back of the car. Eddie asks Berto to call Jackie Jarvis and asks him about Trevor, but he assures him that the woman is a ghost as there is not a single record of her. Berto makes a whole reconstruction of their whole day just as the clues were getting clearer which leads them to “Trevor Stark’s” rental home. The duo makes an appearance in there and realize of a number of bodies, laying on the floor over their own blood. Eddie calls Det Rollins and explains her what happened. Mick is there as well and takes the opportunity to inform Sam that in fact, they were drugged with “hybridized scopolamine,” which is commonly used in its powder form as the “attackers” can blow it on their victim’s face taking immediate effect. On the Brightside of things, Sam’s alcohol test went negative – something that makes Sam relieved.

In the meantime, Det. Rollins receives a call from the Feds stating that they will take care of the case from then on and also requesting her to ask everybody to leave. When Eddie and Sam are about to drive away, they see when “Jackie Jarvis” arrives and they realized that she is also a Fed. They confront her but she asks them to leave or they will be detained. Eddie takes a photo of the van license plate and sends it to Berto. The duo enter their van and then, Trevor Stark (Stephen Lobo) shows up and asks them about a “vial.” When he sees that none of them know what he is talking about he explains a vial was stolen from the government lab, he found it and then Jackie set him up making him look like the bad guy. She hired Sam and Eddie to find him and sent her men to kill him. When he was captured, he had already given the vial to Eddie and Sam and had asked them to hide it so he managed to escape by killing the men that were found on his rental house. According to Trevor, the vial contains a toxin that is deadly enough to wipe the entire city out.

Eddie confesses that he doesn’t trust either Jackie or Trevor. Monica shows up and informs them that she has found out that Mistress Kim has a thing for buying or selling exotic things so maybe she was trying to buy the vial either from Trevor or Jackie. While they are trying to figure out where they could’ve hidden the vial, Sam recalls of the code she has on one of her fingers and believes that it might be a clue to find it.

She shows Eddie and Monica a movie she made called “Evil Soulmate 4” where her character, in order to save her life, decides to hide something important for her in the drain while trying to escape from an evil ghost so, she believes that maybe she hid the vial somewhere in a drain between Trevor’s house and the “naked ride”. Berto informs them that the Fed SUV licenses that Eddie sent him, reveals that the vehicles do not belong to the government but to a company called “Valance Holdings” that owns some buildings in LA and that the Feds may have been using them as a cover. One of the buildings they own is located a few blocks away from the place where Sam and Eddie took their Rideshare trip two days prior.

The duo shows up at an abandoned place and walk through the rooms in order to find the toxin. They see a decontamination shower and Sam thinks that maybe they were in touch with the substance and then they were forced to be cleaned up and sent home naked. They enter the shower and remove the drain tap and see the vial in there. Eddie takes it out and when Sam asks him what to do next, Trevor shows up pointing a gun at them asking them to give him the vial. He gets a message announcing the buyer’s has already arrived to the place so he takes Sam and Eddie to where he would meet with Mistress Kim. When they are about to end the deal, Eddie asks Sam to fake faint and he takes advantage to steal the gun out of one of the bodyguards. Right that moment, the Feds enter the room led by Jackie Jarvis. The woman tells Trevor that the game is over and he pretends to surrender, but then he takes the vial and requests to be allowed to leave or he’ll drop the vial and they will die. Jackie doesn’t mind and shoots him and the vial drops to the floor releasing a gas. Eddie takes Sam and they both run to the shower, remove their clothes and clean themselves. Jackie shows up and turns the shower down and introduces herself as Agent Angela Truman from the FBI. She explains that they had change the vial’s content for a different substance. She lets them know that Trevor was part of her team, but then he decided to steal the vial so they hired several PI’s to capture him yet they were the only one who found him. They were then taken to one of their facilities where they were cleaned and drugged so they wouldn´t remember anything and she showed up the next day to make sure their planned had worked. She hands them a non-disclosure agreement and confiscates all the files they had on the case, assuring them they may be working soon again.

Eddie invites Sam for a night cap and she agrees. The man seems happy to have finally known what happened to them, but Sam assures him that there’s still one thing they need to figure out as well. She confirms that “some things, are better left a mystery,” something to which Eddie seems to agree.

A blackout night that had made everything clearer. Make sure to follow up on the next episode of “Take Two,” next Thursday at 10/9c on ABC. ¡Hasta la próxima!
