Q) What made you want to be a part of the movie?

A) When I read the script, I loved the big adventure and saw Kelly as such an inspiring character who stands for everything empowering. I also loved all the other characters.

Q) How was Kelly Ferguson originally described to you?

A) She was described as a shy, smart, outcast nerd. She was great at Math but was a loner.

Q) Was there anything you added to the role that wasn’t in the initial breakdown?

A) I worked with the costume director and hair and make up to help express Kelly’s personality.

Q) Were you familiar with any of your costars before working with them on the movie?

A) I was not familiar with any of them; however, as a Harry Potter fan (of course) I knew who Tom Felton was. I met Oona Laurence at the screen test, so it was great to see a familiar face when we started filming.

Q) Did the kids from The Order of the Babysitters spend much time together off set as they did on set?

A) Yes! We spent all of our spare time together not only in school, but after filming roaming Vancouver!! Our favorite hangout spot was Chipotle.

Q) What advice did director Rachel Talalay offer during filming that you took to heart?

A) Rachel gave amazing advice all the time; however, one that stuck with me was that she always said to have fun with it and not take things too seriously.

Q) What was it like filming the digitally added monster elements of the film?

A) It was great fun…Strange at times when I was acting, but there was nothing physically there. But when Linden Porco was on set it made it much easier… He was the amazing Toadie actor.

Q) What were some of your favorite scenes to shoot?

A) My favorite scene was the Monster Punch. I spent ages in make up for this and we spent hours filming it. Another one would have to be the Babysitters HQ scenes because we were all together and always full of laughter.

Q) What do you think it is about A Babysitter’s Guide to Monster Hunting that will make it a fast fan favorite Halloween film?

A) There is something for everyone, its full of so much magic and it’s a total rollercoaster. It also carries a really strong message for teamwork and female empowerment.
