Q) How would you describe your sound?

A) Fun, fresh, pop, relatable, inspiring, rich, soulful and age appropriate. My vocals are bright, clear and energetic.  A balance of a vulnerable indie sound and a cheerful pop sound.

Q) Who are some of your musical influences?

A) Ariana Grande, Taylor Swift, Olivia Rodrigo, Harry Styles, Halsey, Janet Jackson, Adele, Beyonce, Miley Cyrus and Lady Gaga

Q) We loved you on “Siwa’s Dance Pop Revolution.” What did you learn or take away from your time on the show that you bring to making music?

A) I learned the behind the scenes work it takes to make it in the industry.  JoJo [Siwa] is very hardworking and dedicated to her craft.  Most importantly, I learned a lot about myself and that I am not willing to put others down but want to elevate those around me.  I learned my authenticity and relatability is what makes me unique.  When others were trying to make me cry and put me down, I refused to stoop to that level.  My music reflects what every tween and teen goes through – self-discovery and how to elevate in a confusing environment.  Those lessons were priceless!

Q) Talk about the story behind your debut song “I’m Gonna Fly.”

A) Not gonna lie, this song describes my journey and how I came out of that experience. The lyrics that speak to me and I think everyone can remind themselves of are “I’m gonna walk away from what doesn’t make me better…”

“Gotta be my best, do it all on my own, it’s time to spread my wings and let everything go”

“Im gonna fly” and I can’t wait for you to hear the rest!  It is about being in a really tough, controlled situation where you are just a pawn in someone else’s game.  You reflect and realize what you want for yourself, and your life and you claim who you are and don’t let anyone change what is unique about you!  Sing that loud and proud and fly to reach your dreams. I can’t wait to hear how others relate to this song!  I am so excited for you to hear it!

Q) What do you think it is about the song that fans connect to?

A) It is upbeat, uplifting and REAL. Most people can relate to situations where they didn’t feel free to say and do what they wanted.  They were afraid to stand up for themselves.  This is an empowering song that reminds all of us to step into our own light and rise above whatever is holding you back from accomplishing what you want.  You can do it; you just have to believe it and go for it!  I got you and I appreciate all my fans that have been so supportive and kind. We will do this together “Sweet T Crew” and I wouldn’t have it any other way!

Q) How does the video for the track play into the message behind it?

A) It’s creative, unique, peaceful then builds intensity to illustrate empowerment. I think the video is a great visual representation of the song and the journey the song takes you through!  Can’t wait for you to see all the beautiful visuals and symbolism.

Q) What is your song writing process? Do you need music before you can create lyrics?

A) When writing music, it usually hits me late at night.  I have a pen and paper under my bed.  Lyrics start running through my head and I write it down along with making notes about the melody. I start with the chorus or bridges.  Those usually come to me first.  I then put it away (so I don’t get in trouble for staying up too late [smiles]) and come back to it the next day with fresh eyes. The music I fill in later, but the basic melody usually comes to me with the first lyrics.

Q) How much of a hand do you have in the production of your music?

A) I had the best time helping to produce this song. I had a lot of input, creating my own ad libs and deciding where to put them. Doing lyrics in different ways with different inflections to see what I felt best about. I LOVE my team. They allowed me artistic freedom to make this mine and I cannot thank them enough. They EMPOWERED me to make sure this song wasn’t “over produced” and was authentic and I think that will come across to my fans.

Q) Will there be a full album or EP coming in the near future or are you focused on releasing singles for now?

A) I will be releasing singles that will lead to the full album. I am so excited to get feedback from my fans so that they will be a part of what this first album becomes.  I want it to be OUR music and OUR journeys. What a special way to create an album…with your fans!

Q) Who would you most like to collaborate with on a song in the future?

A) Taylor Swift, as I love her authenticity and relatability to her fans or Miley Cyrus as I love her rich, deep low notes and edgy vibe.

Q) What album/band are you currently listening to and why do you dig them?

A) Billie Eilish and I dig her because she is unique and has an edgy sound.  She seems to stay true to herself and has a great partnership with her brother like I do. [smiles] I also love Tate McRae.  She is a dancer and singer just like me and I love her unique sound.

Q) You are a part of social media. Why is that such an important way for you to connect with your fans?

A) Social Media is such a great way to instantly connect with my fans.  They can chat with me live on Cameo or request a video.  They can see what I am up to on Instagram, and we can connect over comments and DM’s.  It allows me to support them too, so I love that we get to be on this journey of life together. Supporting our highs and lows and rooting each other on!

Q) What would you like to say to everyone who is a fan and supporter of you and your work?

A) THANK YOU. THANK YOU for believing in authenticity and relatability. THANK YOU for seeing me for who I am and being there every step of the way.  My “Sweet T Crew” is the best and this single is for every fan to know I appreciate them, I support them and we are going to do this journey together.  Because of you, “I’m gonna fly” [smiles] and I am so grateful for all of your love and support.
