Q) How would you describe your sound?

A) We usually describe our sound as “juicebox punk pop” – pop music turned punk with fun juicebox lyrics!

Q) Who are some of your musical influences?

A) We love 5SOS, YUNGBLUD, Mom Jeans, Beabadoobee, Phoebe Bridgers, Camp Cope.

Q) Talk about the story behind your new song “Wine.”

A) Our song Wine is about growing apart from someone over time, and not having the “taste” for them that you used to.

Q) What do you think it is about the song that fans connect to?

A) We think they enjoy the clever lyricism and relate to them as well. Plus, the riffs are super catchy!

Q) How does the video for the track play into the message behind it?

A) We wanted to encapsulate the whole Taste of Me EP in the video – we incorporated an ice cream truck chase for our song “Ice Cream,” the prom band set up for “Wine” and the therapy office for our song “Therapist.”

Q) What is your song writing process? Do you need music before you can create lyrics?

A) Usually, Cahli [Blakers] writes a riff with some lyrics like the chorus and then brings it to Tahlia [Borg] to finish the rest! We always write together.

Q) How much of a hand do you have in the production of your music?

A) We’re pretty hands on with our production, our producer Jarred Nettle is amazing and he’s open to every crazy idea we have. We love knowing everything that’s going on with our music!

Q) You were here in the States for SXSW. What did playing this festival mean to you?

A) Playing SXSW is an amazing opportunity. We’re so excited to be here! We can’t wait to bring our music to the States!

Q) Were there certain bands you were looking forward to seeing perform while at the festival as well?

A) We’re so stoked to catch our mates Hope D, Annie Walter and Jaguar Jonze!

Q) Who would you most like to collaborate with on a song in the future?

A) It’d be a dream to collab with 5SOS!

Q) Will there be a full album or EP coming in the near future?

A) We’re releasing out debut album nearing the end of 2023. We’re so excited!

Q) You are a part of social media. Why is that such an important way for you to connect with your fans?

A) It’s the way the modern world works and we’re so happy there’s a way we can connect with our fans, even if we can’t meet them yet!

Q) What would you like to say to everyone who is a fan and supporter of you and your work?

A) Thank you so much for supporting everything we do! We’re so excited to just be playing music together regardless of who’s listening or not… but having the support we have is the best bonus ever!
