It’s the middle of the night. Tucker (Paul Wesley) chases Olivia (Danielle Campbell) into the woods but she manages to escape. Brendan (Harry Shum Jr.) regains consciousness and tries to switch his car on by beeping the laser key. Tucker hears the constant beeping and checks the CCTV monitor on his phone and rushes to silence Brendan by drugging him to death. Before he dies Brendan warns him that people will be looking for him. Tucker scoffs at the warning and makes fun of his hero complex. Meanwhile, Olivia spends the night under a bridge in the woods. Tucker hides Brendan’s car in his garage and smashes his phone.

The next  morning Ashley (Natalie Alyn Lind) learns that Dylan Young (Linds Edwards), the real bomber, shot Ken (Evan Parke) last night and right now Beau (Eka Darville) is with him at the hospital. She and Rebecca (Carrie-Anne Moss) rush to see Ken. Jackson (Matt Lauria) goes to Veronica’s (Garcelle Beauvais). Despite Ron’s (Caleb Castille) wishes, Veronica confronts Jackson and clarifies his doubt about them kidnapping Simone (Ashley Madekwe) – they haven’t. Jackson lets them know that he is aware of everything. Before he leaves Derek (Christopher Meyer) catches up with him. After learning about the pictures even he believes that his mom might’ve been involved in foul play. He gives Jackson the access to all their warehouses to help him locate Simone. It turns out that she’s indeed stuck in a warehouse. The kidnapper has kept a fresh change of clothes and water for her comfort. Olivia is dreaming about one of Luke’s (Scott Deckert) mood swings where he is baselessly accusing her of having an affair. She tries to protect herself by shutting the door on him, but her strength is no match to Luke’s. He swings open the door and manhandles Olivia. In return she slaps him only to be strangled until her feet no longer touch the ground. Just then Olivia wakes up and realizes that she spent the night under a bridge covered with foliage. She gets up and starts wandering about the woods until she finds the road. Meanwhile, Tucker wraps Brendan’s body in plastic and dumps it into the lake.

Beau is at the hospital waiting on Ken who’s back in surgery because of internal bleeding. He is exhausted and worried. Ashley and Rebecca arrive. Beau hugs Ashley and tells her everything. Rebecca goes to check up on Ken’s condition. People start taking note of Ashley’s presence and for her own safety Beau asks her to leave. They learn that Ken is out of danger and Beau is relieved. Ron takes a drive and Derek follows. Midway Ron steps out of his car and confronts Derek who’s saddened by Veronica’s foul play. Ron calls him naïve.  He punches Derek, asks him to go back to his mommy and goes on his way. Beau goes back to the crime scene and finds Gwen’s (Felisha Terrell) team in action. Despite his pleas to remain involved in the investigation, she asks him to stay separated as he’s too emotionally involved. Beau learns that they haven’t found the motive yet and are still looking for Young’s family members. Gwen asks him to be by Ken’s side. While he’s on his way to the car Beau finds a woman pacing and smoking cigarettes. Her demeanor is suspicious. Beau goes after her and Gwen notices that.

Simone tries to find ways to escape. She catches hold of her lone stiletto and holds onto it as she hears footsteps. It’s Ron. He has gotten her food and clothes. Shocked and scared, Simone learns that he got people from North Carolina to get her back. Beau walks up to the woman and reveals how Dylan shot his dad the earlier night and bombed Ashley Rose’s car a few months ago. It turns out that she’s Dylan’s girlfriend, Taylor (Audrey Corsa). She was completely oblivious to his deeds and after some apprehension outs Dylan’s hideout. Beau promises to keep her out of it. Meanwhile, as Jackson is looking for Simone at the warehouses, he receives a call from Derek who lets him know about Simone’s possible whereabouts. Maddie (Odette Annable) overhears Ashley who’s practicing her on her guitar. She lets her know that her voice sounds amazing. Ashley still wants this to remain a secret from Rebecca as she wants to take things slow. Maddie picks up the topic of Ken getting shot and soon both start talking about Ashley and Beau’s budding romance. Ashley doesn’t see a future as she cannot imagine any man wanting to spend his life taking care of the disaster she became after the car accident. Ashley removes her mask and stands in front of the mirror in despair. Maddie asks her to have hope and not lose confidence.

Wade (Joseph Julian Soria) from North Carolina has come to meet Simone at the warehouse. It turns out that she owed $300,000 to people before she fled North Carolina and now they have sent Wade to track her down. In her defense Simone mentions her three years’ imprisonment where she lost all that money to the state. She wants him to let her go and fabricate a story where he never found her. However, Wade ignores her pleas and puts her at gunpoint asking her to come along. Simone obeys his orders. Jackson arrives just in time. Simone hides and attacks Wade from behind incapacitating him. Jackson carries on the fight and Simone, though hurt, manages to knock down Wade. Jackson now goes to the police to inform Wade while Simone rushes to Cora’s (Julia Campbell) to get the pictures.

Rebecca and Maddie share a drink. Rebecca finds it odd that a man would keep his twin sibling’s demise a secret from his fiance. Maddie feels that Tucker’s cheating on her. Rebecca asks her to be sure first, but Maddie doesn’t want to take advice from her as she failed at marriage. Rebecca remembers how she caught Robbie fooling around with one of his backup singers, but her love for him and the need to keep the family stable gave Rebecca the strength to forgive him. Maddie breaks down as she doesn’t know what to do. Rebecca consoles her. Veronica receives a call from the Metro police regarding Wade’s arrest. She guesses that it is Ron’s work and is unhappy about it. She slaps her son as his antics keep piling up and it becomes her responsibility to clean up the mess.

It’s late at night. Beau drives down to the address that Taylor gave him. He looks for Dylan and after a major gun fight he finally catches hold of the culprit. After a few slaps and punches Dylan admits that he was paid by someone who wanted Ashley dead! Dylan hits him and runs away. Just before Beau is about to be killed Gwen enters the scene and shoots down Dylan. Beau is thankful to her. Simone gets to Cora’s. She calls her name but can’t find her anywhere. Suddenly, Simone finds her lying on the floor. She is dead; someone smashes her face with cutlery. Ashley is getting ready for bed when she hears a knock. It’s Beau. He informs her about the good and bad news – the good being that Dylan Young is dead and the bad news being that someone tipped him to cause the car accident. Ashley is scared and worried. Beau promises to catch the big fish who is behind all this. After dumping Brendan’s body into the river Tucker returns to his basement to clean the place. He puts the chains and the handcuffs in the drawers where they belong and prepares a syringe to drug himself to sleep. Just then he hears a rustle. His basement has been infiltrated. He turns around and it’s Olivia. She thrashes him with a metal object and hits him mercilessly whilst remembering how she did the same with Luke when he was struggling with his mood swings. We see that Luke was begging her to get him help but all she did was shush him and silence him to sleep. Olivia had an evil grin on her face, similar to what she is having now while torturing Tucker.
