After learning about Anna, Maddie (Odette Annable) realizes that the lake house means a lot to Tucker (Paul Wesley) as he misses his deceased sister. They get indoors as it’s chilly outside and start making out. Maddie hears metal clinging- it’s none other than Olivia (Danielle Campbell) who’s now regained consciousness and is knocking her handcuffs against the wall. Tucker blames it on the faulty water heater. Before leaving Maddie finds a piece of paper with Olivia’s number on it; Tucker lies about it being the number of his editor’s “micromanaging assistant.” As soon as Maddie leaves Tucker rushes to the basement to drug Olivia again. He calls her Anna before injecting her to sleep. Beau (Eka Darville) finds Ashley (Natalie Alyn Lind) worried. It turns out that Kyle (Casey Thomas Brown) struck her more as a fan who was hopelessly in love with her rather than a coldblooded bomber. Beau agrees to dig deeper and they kiss. Rebecca (Carrie-Anne Moss) witnesses them making out. Soon Ken (Evan Parke) summons Beau.

Simone (Ashley Madekwe) shows Veronica’s (Garcelle Beauvais) sex pictures to Cora (Julia Campbell), which prove that she was an unfaithful wife. Cora recognizes the man as Clay Callaway, the managing partner at Frank’s law firm that drafted the very trust! Simone is elated as it explains how Veronica might’ve given Callaway a night’s pleasure in return for changing Frank’s original draft and depriving his blood daughter of her heir rights. Simone now wants to challenge Veronica and destroy her reputation at an art benefit that’s scheduled that night. Cora takes the responsibility of getting Simone all decked up for the event. Beau let’s Ken know that Jeff suffered a minor concussion and would be back to work after one day. Ken is upset with Beau’s unprofessional behavior and reveals that Rebecca wants him fired after she caught the lovebirds kissing earlier that day. Jackson (Matt Lauria) joins Rebecca, Maddie and Ashley for breakfast. He is in a great mood as Ashley dealt with her stalker like a badass and also because there are doughnuts. He asks Rebecca for dad’s tuxedo as he’s got an event to attend to. Ashley guesses that he’s accompanying a girl. Jackson starts to blush. He asks her about the attacker. It turns out that Susie’s safety was of utmost importance for Ashley who was in a defensive autopilot mode that night. After Maddie and Jackson leave for that tuxedo Ashley reveals to Rebecca how she’s worried about that bomber still being on the loose and adds that Beau’s looking into it. When Rebecca reveals that she’s ordered for Beau to be fired, Ashley reminds her that it’s not her decision to make.

Olivia freshens up and receives praise from Tucker for being an obedient and effective subject. She wants to know why he called her Anna, and who was this woman? Tucker asks her to reveal the truth about Luke first. He’s done his homework and is aware that the lovebirds dealt with some run-ins with the law. It turns out that their evil landlady made false abuse-related accusations against Luke when in reality he never even hit Olivia! In return, Tucker reveals about Anna’s death and how this cabin was where they spent most of their time together. When Olivia asks if she’s the living substitute of his dead sister, Tucker keeps quiet and leaves. Beau arranges a meeting between Ashley and Detective Gwen Roberts (Felisha Terrell). Ashley reveals how she’s worried about the real bomber being out there. Gwen is apprehensive in digging deeper as Kyle, who had a fire fetish, did capture the song release day on camera heavily. Dissatisfied Ashley demands proof that Kyle was indeed the bomber. Beau speaks to Gwen separately and learns that the police didn’t even go through Kyle’s complete footage and are pressing charges on him despite his untainted record just to have the case closed. He asks Gwen to send him a copy of the case file as he’s got ample time to investigate. She’s amused, especially as he’d rather risk everything for this high-profile case than stand up for his own team.

Brendan (Harry Shum Jr.), who’s at the office with Maddie, realizes that she’s upset. He learns that Tucker is cheating on her with a woman named Olivia who’s definitely not his editor’s assistant thanks to Maddie’s research. Brendan texts Tucker to meet him for a talk! Cora helps Simone get ready for the benefit and calls her a spitting image of her mom as it seems she and Cora were the best of friends. They discuss the olden days and Simone wishes that she could be as dignified as her mom as opposed to the con artist that she became. Cora; however, believes in second chances and gives Simone a pair of beautiful transparent stilettos which once belonged to her. Simone loves them and can’t wait to see the look on Veronica’s face. Cora looks worried. Ashley helps Jackson get ready as he gushes on about his mystery woman. He wants to have a jam session with Ashley, but she needs vocal rest. Rebecca gets Robbie’s cufflinks and asks Jackson not to pawn them off. Meanwhile, Beau goes through Kyle’s footage critically and finds a man in the background; he was in Ashley’s garage before her performance that day. Beau is waiting for an ID match from his friends at NPD. Ken is proud of his son. Soon they identify the man as Dylan Young (Linds Edwards), a convict with an illustrious past. Both Beau and Ken rush to catch the guy. They reach Dylan’s place where he appears to be leaving. Despite Ken’s advice Beau confronts Dylan as a Private security personnel and soon bullets are fired by both sides. Beau manages to plant a bullet in Dylan’s leg, but he escapes. Ken suffers a bullet injury on his chest; Beau calls for an ambulance.

The art benefit begins. Veronica, along with her twins, addresses the invitees where she raises a toast to Frank and lets the gala begin. She spots Simone. Jackson arrives and has a dance with his ravishing partner. Soon Derek (Christopher Meyer) steals Simone for a minute where he asks her to quit blaming Veronica and leave town. However, Simone approaches Veronica. Upon being threatened about the distillery theft she spills about the leaked photos of her and Clay Callaway. Veronica admits that it was a bad marriage, but asks her not to jump into conclusions. Simone threatens to involve the court and runs away. Ron (Caleb Castille) follows her, warning her not to falsely accuse his mom of murder. The step-siblings get into a fight. Jackson comes in and punches Ron. Simone stops the fight and leaves the gala. Jackson follows her but loses her at the entrance. He spots Simone’s lone stiletto on the staircase. Tucker meets an overly-concerned Brendan and clarifies the miscommunication about Olivia who is actually an assistant’s publicist. He asks Brendan to mind his own business whilst claiming that he is not cheating on Maddie. It turns out that Maddie and Brendan are exes. Tucker checks his phone and finds Olivia trying to escape. He leaves the table and rushes home. Brendan follows him. Tucker reaches home and, in a hurry, he forgets to shut the door. Brendan follows him into the house. Tucker runs to the basement and finds Olivia unconscious. He tries to wake her up. Suddenly, she starts strangling him with her metal chains and is about to kill him, but just then Brendan enters the cabin and helps Olivia escape. He shoves Tucker’s seemingly dead body under the bed and is about to leave but he gets dragged from behind. It turns out that Tucker is indeed alive. He thrashes Brendan’s head and locks him up, just like he did to Olivia. He runs outside hoping to catch hold of his “obedient subject,” but she is nowhere to be seen.
