The show opens with Raj (Kunal Nayyar) asks about Valentine’s Day plans because he plans on getting married in India on that day. Everyone seems happy and Leonard (Johnny Galecki) tells Penny (Kaley Cuoco) they now have plans. Amy (Mayim Bialik) wonders how they can plan a wedding in three months, but he says her family is doing most of the planning. He also says they hit it off.

Sheldon (Jim Parsons) admits he really doesn’t know Amy’s family while Leonard says his mom loves Penny, which is shocking since he didn’t think she was capable of love. Penny says her parents also love Leonard, while Howard  (Simon Helberg) and Bernadette (Melissa Rauch) say there is a coolness between him and her family. The discussion moves to seating arrangements and a debate on who will sit on the floor. Anu (Rati Gupta) arrives and they are all squished on the couch.

Later on Raj and Anu are driving home and discuss having sex. She wants to make sure they are compatible so they decide to do it over the weekend. He says he has had questions, comments and constructive criticism but no complaints. Anu assures him they will be fine.

Sheldon tells Amy he has plans this weekend, which is getting to know her family more. Her dad (Teller) arrives and they both realize they call Amy vegetable names….Larry calls her “Pumpkin” and Sheldon calls her “Spaghetti Squash.” The men leave discussing their relationship.

Raj goes to Leonard and Howard for sex advice. They assure him he will be fine and share their first time stories with their now wives. He then goes to the girls for advice and they say that he will be fine, but there is a chance that she might be bad.

Howard is at the comic book store complaining about the expired candy. Stuart (Kevin Sussman) tells him he gets what he gets since it is comic store candy. Sheldon and Larry walk in talking about Lethal Weapon. Sheldon thinks it is redundant, like “Unsolved Mysteries,” and to not get him started. Larry says he never did in the first place. Sheldon says they are bonding and shows them the whistle Larry got him. Howard thinks it is a trick whistle and ends up bonding with Larry over magic—including making Larry’s wallet disappear.

At the hotel, Raj calls Penny all nervous about his big night with Anu. She tells him her first time with Leonard was nothing to write home about but it got better. Anu arrives and he turns into old, nervous Raj and runs into the bathroom causing her to wonder why he is being so weird. When he come out he is more confident, thanks to the champagne he consumed while he was in there. She wants to leave unless he tells her the truth as to why he is acting weird.

Howard and Larry are doing magic tricks. Bernadette wants to know how Howard can do tricks but not take off her bra. Sheldon wants to leave, but Larry (a/k/a “Turnip”) wants to stay in play with Howard. Sheldon leaves and goes to bond with Amy’s mom (Kathy Bates).

Raj tells Anu about his previous problem of not talking to women unless he was drinking. He says he was embarrassed and it came back because he was so nervous. She admits that she doesn’t like music. This leads to a debate about Beyonce and him singing.

Sheldon talks about his fungus problem, which Amy’s mom thinks is disturbing. She tells him to take it off Facebook, but he says it is in his nature to share. He wants her to share about things being removed from her body and she refuses to answer. They take a selfie to commemorate the moment.

Leonard and Penny are in the apartment reflecting on their sex life….him being happy and her telling him not to beat himself up. Amy walks in all upset about Sheldon being with her mom. She says her mom thinks Sheldon is the reason they don’t hang out, which is the excuse she uses because she doesn’t want to hang out with her. Leonard is still focused on Penny’s previous comment.

Sheldon and Amy’s mom are playing a game when Amy calls. Amy’s lie unravels and she tries to cover by saying his action figures are on fire, Harrison Ford is over and her mom is crazy. Amy’s mom is still upset with Sheldon for keeping them apart, but realizes that Amy was lying. Sheldon says that she did it to spare her feelings and they bond over finding Howard odd and how they feel about Amy. Sheldon decides to forgive Amy since he can look past her other flaws, such as putting ketchup on eggs.

Raj and Anu talk about their night together and where to go from here. She goes to shower and tells him to join her.

The episode ends with Sheldon and Amy bonding with her parents. Larry does some magic, which Amy finds cool. Larry ends up cutting himself while Amy’s mom says she doesn’t like magic. Sheldon thinks she is getting better and better.
