Q) How would you best describe your sound?

A) I would describe our sound as folk/pop with rock and electronic elements. [laughs] So, I guess a little of everything kinda.

Q) Who are your Top 3 musical influences?

A) So hard to pick just three and each one of us in the band has their own separate influences, but I would say for me it would be Bon Iver, Coldplay and Mumford & Sons.

Q) Tell us the story behind your latest song “Live Til We Die.”

A) We are definitely living in complicated times and I get very overwhelmed sometimes when I scroll on my phone or listen to political podcasts etc. Sometimes all of the chaos makes me just want to go off grid with my loved ones and just go build a house in the woods and live my life. It makes me want to remember how much beauty is in the simple things.

Q) You also recently released a music video for “Live Til We Die.” How did you come up with the concept for the music video?

A) We teamed up with our friend Cameron Gade, who is an incredibly talented director and filmmaker. We knew we wanted the video to be fun and colorful and quirky. Cameron ran with the idea and created a concept that fit the song perfectly. It was so much fun to make the video and to watch it all come together with the cast, the set, the wardrobe, hairstyles and even the alpacas. Such a dream shoot.

Q) “Headlights” is one of my favorite songs off the album. What was one of your favorite songs to write and record for “A Mix For The End Of The World – Part 1?”

A) Ah, thanks so much! “Headlights” is actually one of my favorite songs off the album as well. It was a really exciting song for me to write. Once in a while when I’m writing, I can see it like a movie in my head. It doesn’t happen all the time but when it does it makes it so fun to write and watch it all come together. Another fun song for me to write was “UFO.” I definitely experimented with lyrics and leaned into the idea of seeing a UFO as a metaphor in a love song.

Q) What do you hope fans take away from the new album “A Mix for The End Of The World – Part 1?”

A) I hope that fans will listen to the album and not feel alone in these crazy times we are all going through. I also hope that listeners can be reminded of how much beauty there is in this life and that there is so much joy to be found in the simple moments with the people we love most.

Q) In October you launched your own music festival called the Superbloom Music Festival, which was a sold out event. How did you come up with the idea to hold your own festival and what were some of the biggest takeaways from taking on such a large event?

A) We have always been in love with Zion National Park and we find a lot of musical inspiration from nature. We have always wanted to throw our own festival in southern Utah to celebrate life and music surrounded by all of that natural beauty. We were originally planning it for 2020 but had to postpone it until October of this year. We worked as hard as we could to curate the best experience we could, and it ended up being such a magical festival. We’re already planning Superbloom 2022 and we can’t wait to party there again!

Q) What is one of your favorite songs to perform live?

A) It changes all the time for me but right now I would say “Wildflower.” There is so much energy playing that song and I love screaming “I COULD BE YOUR WILDFLOWER” at the top of my lungs with the crowd. It’s the best.

Q) Are there any plans to plan a full length tour or to continue the Superbloom Music Festival for years to come?

A) We have a tour plan in the works and Superbloom is definitely something we want to keep going for years to come.

Q) What are you currently listening to?

A) Lately I’ve been listening to a lot of Christmas music tbh. Tis the season!

Q) What would you like to say to your fans and supporters of your music?

A) We are just so incredibly grateful for our fans and for everyone who has supported us. We just got our Spotify wrapped and I was blown away by the stats and the amount of people who have listened to our music this year. It means the world and I can’t wait to see what 2022 brings.
