Q) How would you describe your sound?

A) Country/Alt Country, Americana, Country Rock, Roots.

Q) Who are some of your musical influences?

A) Tom Petty, Neil Young, Dolly Parton, Dave Matthews, Fleetwood Mac and Miranda Lambert.

Q) Talk about the story behind your new song “My Drama.”

A) I reached a point in my life where I realized this candy-coated idolized idea of “love” that you see in the movies is simply not real. There’s no such thing as an absolute seamless, perfect love story. I wanted to dig deep into the emotion of what I found love to truly be.

Q) What do you think it is about the song that fans connect to?

A) I think what fans connect to while listening to “My Drama” is a feeling of relatability. There’s truth in the fact that no human is perfect, no relationship is simple, and I hope they understand there’s beauty in complexities. We all have demons and trauma in our lives. “My Drama” is a song about finding the one person that can deal with all of that, the absolute depth of your soul inside and out. In Pop culture nowadays, it’s not very highlighted. The pain, the struggles, everything is seen through rose colored glasses, filters… I’m over it. I wanted to write something real, relatable and raw. I hope this resonates and helps listeners through whatever situation they may be going through.

Q) How does the video for the track play into the message behind it?

A) The video depicts two sides of a person; the beauty and the pain and the fine line between the two. The video visualizes how we all have this overflow of emotions inside whether we show it or not and it’s about accepting the full spectrum of the soul in the highs and lows and that space between where it feels chaotic and confusing.

Q) What is your song writing process? Do you need music before you can create lyrics?

A) I usually always start with lyrics first. I feel like I need the lyrics to build a solid foundation. Once I know the story that I want to tell, I can start understanding the character of the song and the sounds that would be appropriate around the theme.

Q) How much of a hand do you have in the production of your music?

A) I am co-producing every ounce of all of my tracks. I do not do the hands-on production, but I am sitting there, humming note for note exactly what I want for each instrument and constantly explaining what I hear in my head that needs to come to life.

Q) What are some themes you will be exploring on your upcoming EP?

A) This upcoming EP talks a lot about growing pains and the constant journey to finding oneself.

Q) Where are some of your favorite places to perform and what makes those locations so significant to you?

A) My favorite locations to perform are honestly anywhere where there’s people who absolutely love listening to the music. I love playing for a fun, energetic crowd!

Q) Who would you most like to collaborate with on a song in the future?

A) I would love to collaborate with Kip Moore.

Q) What album/band are you currently listening to and why do you dig them?

A) “Hero” by Maren Morris. I just can’t get enough of it! I dig it because I adore the writing that’s extremely relatable and the musicality throughout it.

Q) You are a part of social media. Why is that such an important way for you to connect with your fans?

A) It’s important because I have fans on the other side of the world in the UK, Australia, Africa… I don’t tour all around the world yet so it’s vital we are able to connect online.

Q) What would you like to say to everyone who is a fan and supporter of you and your work?

A) I would like to say thank you a million times over, genuinely. Your love and support means the world to me. Your support IS my whole universe! You allow me to follow my life’s purpose each and every day. I hope my songs resonate deeply with you and they help you through situations that come up on a daily basis.
