Top 3 TV Moments – August 30 – September 4

Each week I’ll be picking the best drama, comedy or reality TV and sci-fi/fantasy moments from the shows of the prior week. They may sometimes be equipped with some of your favorite ships or tear-jerking moments. So, keep reading if you are still not over what happened on your favorite TV show this week!

Drama: Away, “Go” – A family divided but united!

After Matt (Josh Charles) has a stroke, Emma (Hilary Swank) decides it’s time for her to go back home. But Matt and Alexis (Talitha Eliana Bateman) have other plans for her and they’re not going to let her give up this important moment. The hospital scene between the three was the most uplifting and heartbreaking moment of the Away premiere. I was not expecting to tear up at this show, but I did. Even though this family is apart and may not agree on every life choice, they are united and will definitely be the backbone of the tone of this series.

Comedy/Reality TV: A.P. Bio, “Tiny Problems” – There’s a bomb in the White House!

Helen (Paula Pell) was the star of this hilarious episode and countless wedgies made a remarkable appearance, too. Even after getting the glitter bomb under control, Helen still managed to destroy the houses built in the shop. She was in very high demand this week and after watching everyone struggle, we can see why.

Sci-fi/Fantasy: Lovecraft Country, “Holy Ghost” – Letitia F**king Lewis!

Leti (Jurnee Smollett) conquered some demons in her house this week and she did it flawlessly. Leti’s moment in the basement going through the ritual to ban together with the ghosts and cast out the evil that killed them was the moment of this week’s episode of Lovecraft Country. All of the praise goes to Jurnee Smollett with her amazing and outrageously stunning performance in this scene and throughout the entire episode. I mean, did you see how she devoured that scene? I am a Letitia Lewis stan and I will be looking for all of the award nominations that Jurnee will be receiving soon.
