Top 3 TV Moments – July 26 – July 31

By  |

Each week I’ll be picking the best drama, comedy or reality TV and sci-fi/fantasy moments from the shows of the prior week. They may sometimes be equipped with some of your favorite ships or tear-jerking moments. So, keep reading if you are still not over what happened on your favorite TV show this week!

Drama: Get Even, “Get Over It” – The ripple effect!

When Margot (Bethany Antonia) decides to stand up for herself it causes a ripple effect of things to unfold for her and the rest of D.G.M. Margot gives Amber (Ryazan Nassar) a taste of her own medicine and she unlocks Cam’s (Ayumi Spyrides) phone— bringing the girls closer to figuring out who killed Ronny Kent (Joe Flynn). It’s a good episode that progresses the storyline along quickly and that quick moment did a lot for it.

Comedy/Reality TV: Black Ink Crew: Chicago, “The Shutdown” – In the midst of chaos and uncertainty, happiness still finds its way through.

Charmaine finally gives birth to baby Nola. Seeing this episode as the Black Ink Crew members began to worry about what the shutdown was going to do to their lives took me back to how I was feeling at the beginning of it all. Even though everyone was stressed about what was going to happen to their jobs, moments of joy and happiness were still taking place. I’m so happy Charmaine was able to safely bring her baby into the world. It was a nice moment to see after reliving that initial fear of the first wave of the virus in the United States.

Sci-fi/Fantasy: The Umbrella Academy, “Right Back Where We Started” – An explosive start!

Can we talk about that opening? The Umbrella Academy sure knows how to grab your attention and pull you in. The explosions, the cinematography, the special effects— they outdid themselves in true Umbrella Academy fashion. I’m so ready to fully dig into this season just based on the opening sequence. It fired me up for what was to come. The first episode was a hit so I know the rest of the season isn’t going to disappoint!
