Top 3 TV Moments – June 27 – July 2

Each week I’ll be picking the best drama, comedy or reality TV and sci-fi/fantasy moments from the shows of the prior week. They may sometimes be equipped with some of your favorite ships or tear-jerking moments. So, keep reading if you are still not over what happened on your favorite TV show this week!

Drama: Mine, “Ep.16 Glorious Women” – Women on top!

After a season full of lies, manipulation and deception we finally found out who killed that devious “family” member. I’ll leave some mystery because I highly encourage everyone to watch this show. With a reveal of the murderer came some much needed peace to the family and my favorite characters had some beautiful ending moments. I specifically loved Jung Seo Hyun (Kim Seo-hyeong) getting to have a beautiful moment with her stepson and then finally make that decision to follow her heart and be with the one she loves. I cried at both moments. The scene between Jung Seo Hyun and Han Soo Hyuk (Hak-Yeon Cha) was so gorgeous and emotional to watch after knowing the character dynamic and development they grew through. This show was so good and the title of the final episode was expertly done– “Glorious Women.” Kim Seo-hyeong, Lee Bo-young as Seo Hi Soo and Ok Ja-yeon as Lee Hee-Jin did a phenomenal job as powerful, yet vulnerable women in a tense environment throughout the season. I applaud them for their dedication and talent.

Comedy/Reality TV: Teen Mom 2, “Cut Out” – Back home but with many disappointments.

Jade [Cline] finally made it back home after going through such a horrible recovery after plastic surgery. One thing that I like about Jade is that she has a huge heart and wants to help and get along with everyone, but it makes me sad to see that generosity constantly getting thrown back in her face by those closest to her. I hope this experience shows Jade that even though she loves her mother that maybe she needs to separate herself from her for a while so that she isn’t disappointed once again when she could be spending her time and energy on more positive things in her life.

Sci-fi/Fantasy: Batwoman, “Power” – A woman who has found her power.

Ryan (Javicia Leslie) regained her power and found where she truly needed to be in the season finale of “Batwoman.” In her scene of getting off of probation, Ryan states how she is still the same woman who was wrongly convicted. She wants to be able to tell that truth, that she hasn’t changed and she will continue to be that same woman, but knowing the power she holds in the process. She is fully ready to step into that Batwoman role and protect herself and others.
