Top 3 TV Moments – March 1 – March 7

Each week I’ll be picking the best drama, comedy or reality TV and sci-fi/fantasy moments from the shows of the prior week. They may sometimes be equipped with some of your favorite ships or tear-jerking moments. So, keep reading if you are still not over what happened on your favorite TV show this week!

Drama: 9-1-1: Lone Star, “Monster Inside” – So much to lose.

When Owen (Rob Lowe) gets the firehouse a dog, T.K. (Ronen Rubinstein) is the least enthused about the idea. He eventually reveals to his dad that he doesn’t want to get attached to something else that he could lose. It seems that Owen and the new dog are both diagnosed with the same kind of cancer. Knowing what that could mean was weighing on T.K. Seeing him struggle and then the end of the episode adding more heartbreak made me love this character more. I love the relationship between father and son and watching how well they communicate their hardships.

Comedy/Reality TV: Brooklyn 99, “Trying” – Pregnancy woes.

Jake (Andy Samberg) and Amy’s (Melissa Fumero) efforts at getting pregnant didn’t go to plan. Even with all the scheduling, the two still aren’t pregnant and Amy has lost a little faith. The scene as they discuss how things don’t always go to plan was my favorite part of the episode. Usually with such efforts into getting pregnant, the couple struggle a while to discuss what’s really the root of the problem. That didn’t happen with these two and I’m glad. They still don’t have a baby, but I’m sure whatever is meant for them will happen soon.

Sci-fi/Fantasy: Avenue 5, “Are You a Spider, Matt?” – Uncrackable case.

Billie’s (Lenora Crichlow) attempts at figuring out a plan and banter with Captain Ryan (Hugh Laurie) were the highlight this week! I really enjoyed watching Billie continuously try to figure out how they were going to get this unqualified man to do this major task in an unbelievable amount of time for someone who wouldn’t even know where to start. She isn’t overly quirky and that’s refreshing to see in a woman as brilliant as she is. I do hope they quickly find a solution after that big declaration, but if Billie’s right there to help I’m sure they’ll figure it out.
