Each week I’ll be picking the best drama, comedy or reality TV and sci-fi/fantasy moments from the shows of the prior week. They may sometimes be equipped with some of your favorite ships or tear-jerking moments. So, keep reading if you are still not over what happened on your favorite TV show this week!

Drama: Katy Keene, “Chapter Six: Mama Said” – “I will always be here to help pick up the pieces and bring you home.”

Josie’s (Ashleigh Murray) mom, Sierra (Robin Givens), comes to visit! She leaves Josie with some grown up advice. She warns Josie of Alex’s (Lucien Laviscount) behavior and how he reminds her of what she went through with Josie’s father. Josie tried to defend him, but her mom informs her that she knows she has to make her own mistakes yet she will always be there when things fall apart. This was a great moment between the two because it shows their growth in their relationship and even shows how Sierra isn’t trying to be controlling over Josie’s choices.

Comedy/Reality TV: Boomerang, “There U Go” – Good and bad dance!

The “Good or Bad Hair” School Daze inspired scene with Tia (Lala Milan) was definitely my favorite part of the Season Two premiere. That scene from School Daze is one of my all-time favorite movie moments and Boomerang did a good job changing it up and making it relevant to the black culture of today. I liked this show before but something about this season already feels different and I am vibing with all of it. Hope we see more great moments like this!

Sci-fi/Fantasy: Manifest, “Airplane Bottles” – “I just saved your life.”

After seeing Jared (J.R. Ramirez) consistently going down the wrong path this season, we finally saw him take a step back and help Michaela (Melissa Roxburgh). I wasn’t so surprised that he saved her, but now it seems like him getting involved with the wrong people was for insider work. I’m still skeptical because this season has made me dislike Jared, but this may be his redeeming point for me. I hope that the outcome is a positive one for Michaela because it looks like things are finally starting to make movement for this season.
