Each week I’ll be picking the best drama, comedy or reality TV and sci-fi/fantasy moments from the shows of the prior week. They may sometimes be equipped with some of your favorite ships or tear-jerking moments. So, keep reading if you are still not over what happened on your favorite TV show this week!

Drama: Big Sky, “Pilot” – OMG! WHAT?!?

The shocker of all season premiere shockers goes to Big Sky! After this show advertising Jenny (Katheryn Winnick), Cassie (Kylie Bunbury), and Cody (Ryan Phillippe) as their main leads, it was wildly shocking that the episode ended with Cody dying. I love that this was a twist nobody expected and huge coming from a new show. I don’t know where things will lead from here, but killing off one of the draws to the show was a bold move on Big Sky’s part. However, I already like where this show is headed. I was initially drawn to it for Kylie Bunbury and having this happen in the first episode is sure to bring out some great performances from her and the rest of the cast throughout the season.

Comedy/Reality TV: The Unicorn, “It’s Complicated” – A widower and an ex-husband.

Wade (Walton Goggins) and his new love interest (Natalie Zea) are running into some bumps while dating. I really liked the last scene because it’s after he’s had some apprehension about her having a live-in ex-husband that he finally tells her he’s a widower. They both seem to be all over the place with this relationship. However, one thing is for sure, they like whatever is starting to grow between them. It was good to have them clear a few things up, but what’s up with her not wanting him to know her last name? Hopefully, nothing big comes from that.

Sci-fi/Fantasy: The Adventure Landing: Distant Lands, “Obsidian” – I don’t really care about your stupid Candy Kingdom!

Marceline (Olivia Olson) learns that her mother didn’t leave her like she thought, but that she had to send her to safety because she was dying and didn’t want Marceline to see was so heartbreaking. Seeing Marceline hear her mother’s message was the best part of the episode and gave her a jump start to go back and help them defeat the monster.
