Each week I’ll be picking the best drama, comedy or reality TV and sci-fi/fantasy moments from the shows of the prior week. They may sometimes be equipped with some of your favorite ships or tear-jerking moments. So, keep reading if you are still not over what happened on your favorite TV show this week!

Drama: The Morning Show, “The Least Favorite Year” –  The Start.

Alex’s (Jennifer Aniston) opening scene was one that I think has a theme that will carry throughout this season. I liked how the story began to be told with the voiceover and we see her writing down the different events and the emotion behind them. Coming off of such a traumatic and horrific situation but taking that time to self reflect was good to see, especially from her character who had such a controversial stance coming from the last season into this one.

Comedy/Reality TV: Sex Education, “Episode 5” – The Trip.

Something very unfortunate happened in episode 5 of Sex Education. Otis (Asa Butterfield) and Maeve Wiley (Emma Mackey) kissed. Now this is obviously not the first time it has happened, but it made the moments list this week, because it was definitely a moment that will change where this story is headed. After seeing Otis with Ruby (Mimi Keene), I really hoped that Otis would put in more effort so that they could become a legit couple. I have never been a fan of Otis and Maeve’s relationship, and seeing them reunite in this way was a let down for me. It also shows me that I may not be getting the development that I hoped for them this season.

Sci-fi/Fantasy: What We Do In The Shadows – “The Casino” – Drunken Clarity.

Nandor (Kayvan Novak) expressing his sorrows and realizing that he’s been on earth a long time, but he isn’t even sharing the experience with anyone was kind of sad. Of course, Nandor was just in his stupor for a moment (thanks to his lack of ancestral soil), but it was still an interesting scene to watch. I really liked seeing this revelation come up amongst the chaos that was “The Casino.”
