Top 3 TV Moments – September 27 – October 2

Each week I’ll be picking the best drama, comedy or reality TV and sci-fi/fantasy moments from the shows of the prior week. They may sometimes be equipped with some of your favorite ships or tear-jerking moments. So, keep reading if you are still not over what happened on your favorite TV show this week!

Drama: Filthy Rich, “Psalm 25:3” – Gotcha!

Ginger (Melia Kreiling) flipping the switch on her baptism is just the amount of wild and expected things that she could have done. She had to get the power back in her hands and she did just that even though her mom still gained some power. It’s a messy web weaving.

Comedy/Reality TV: Emily in Paris, “Ringarde” – A song for Paris!

Mindy’s (Ashley Park) singing in the park was a nice surprise and a huge moment for her character. Standing with her eyes closed in the middle of the park belting her song was a lovely semi-magical moment for this show based around a magical place. It took me a while for Mindy to fully grow on me, but that moment definitely pushed my view of her character a little more.

Sci-fi/Fantasy: Monsterland, “New Orleans, Louisiana” – The Standout

Nicole Beharie’s performance as Annie, a woman coming to terms with a past tainted by her husband’s misdeeds and her own mind-block, is what gave her a standout moment in the episode. The horror anthology struggled with the horror with the jazzman being the monster, but the performance from Beharie made up for it. In the final moment of the episode where she desperately tries to get rid of the sound of the music, she painfully does so by poking through her eardrums. I shuddered while watching. Nicole Beharie never ceases to deliver!
