Q) What are the recent projects that you are working on?

A) Sewing, so I can learn how to make my own wrestling gear thanks to my seamstress and friend Sandra Gray. I’ve also been working on some new music.

Q) How did you originally get your start in wrestling?

A) I saw my first WWE show in Orlando at the Amway Arena and was blown away by the woman’s tag match. I decided then that I wanted to audition, which lead me to a try out at FCW and me getting signed.

Q) We’re enjoying seeing you on “Total Divas.” What keeps you coming back to this show?

A) I like the empowerment of women that “Total Divas” showcases. It’s a show my family and friends enjoy as well as our fans and people of all ages. I appreciate the platform to speak my truth and open up about my life in and out of the ring!  I’m very proud to be a part of a show that’s inspiring and resonates with so many people.

Q) Were there certain parts of your life you deemed off limits to the camera?

A) Yes, my step children. They have been featured; however, you don’t see them often because we want them to focus on being children, school and all the bliss that comes with being young and innocent [laughs] not filming at this point in their life.  They are very dear to me. I couldn’t have asked for better kids to be a bonus mom to.

Q) What are some of your most memorable moments that you can tease from this season of “Total Divas?”

A) Well, our vacations are always epic and out of control. As usual there will be drama, tears, pranks, parties, surprises and etc. This season will not disappoint!

Q) What is something that you want to be sure viewers know about you?

A) That I’m a real one. PERIOD! [laughs] What you see is what you get and I never lie to my fans, no matter the good/bad.

Q) What advice would you offer the younger generation or up and coming athletes?

A) Confidence is key and knowing who you are. You may experience ups and downs, setbacks, road blocks, non-believers and so on, but no matter what you cannot let it break your focus, belief in yourself or your dream.

Q) Who is someone you haven’t wrestled yet that you’d love to take on in a match?

A) Lacey Evans!  She’s a mother, former officer in the U.S. marines, athletic, strong – one hell of a woman. Buuuuuut trust me she’s no match for the GLOW. 😌

Q) You are a part of social media. Why is that such an important way for you to connect with your fans?

A) Social media allows me to have a direct line of communication to my supporters, a/k/a the #NaoMob, which is very important to me because I have some fans that have been riding with me from day one, about ten years! I’m just as loyal to them as they are to me. I know they genuinely care and many I’ve met in person. I’ve come to respect and appreciate the power of social media and the influence I have. I run my own social media and try my best to let my fans know I see/hear and don’t take them for granted.

Q) The sports community hasn’t always been so welcoming to female athletes. What do you think the sports industry needs to incorporate for effective inclusion?

A) This is such an amazing time for women, particularly in sports!  So many barriers have been, and are continuing to be, broken.  At this point there’s no stopping us; however, the support and opportunities have to continue in order for female athletes to further prove why we should be valued equally. (if not more [wink wink])

Q) What would you like to say to everyone who is a fan and supporter of all you do as an athlete and an advocate?

A) Thank you for your loyalty, positivity, continued encouragement and always seeing something special in me. I could not be where I am without all of you and I’ll never forget that. The love is real, mutual and the reason why I continue to glow.
