The episode opens with Kimmy (Ellie Kemper) bouncing into the office singing Rebecca Black’s “Friday” while handing out paychecks. One of her coworkers says she is singing it wrong, but she thinks it is something she made up. Zach (Noah Robbins) comes in and she asks him if he needs her to come in on Saturday. He says no, so she offers to come in Sunday with more Rice Krispies treats. He tells her she can just have the weekend off, which excites her for it is her very first weekend off since she became an adult. Before she can get too excited, Jacqueline (Jane Krakowski) approaches her with a list of demands. Kimmy reminds her that she no longer works for her, but as always, Jacqueline is clueless.

CHERY/L comes in saying, “It’s Friday, bitches!” She and Kimmy discuss weekend plans. Kimmy wants to rent a movie from Blockbuster, but CHERY/L tells her to get with the times and introduces her to the joys of binge watching and wine. Kimmy is confused because CHERY/L says she has been binging since lunch and wonders if she has some sort of drinking problem. Kimmy sees Jacqueline in her office and mistakes her for a burglar. It turns out she is there to get her phone, but she is in a face mask and pajamas. She admits she is broke and living there while subletting her apartment. Kimmy offers to let her stay with her and Titus. She even offers to let Jacqueline have her bed while she sleeps on the blowup gorilla from the car dealership. She agrees, which makes Kimmy excited for a sleepover and runs to get a skateboard.

The ladies get home and tell Titus (Tituss Burgess) their plans. Kimmy says she plans on doing weekends to the max. Titus agrees so they tune into “Gals on the Town,” a show about four ambitious young women who juggle, work love and friendship and written by a “rich, mean gay man.”

The next morning, Lillian (Carol Kane) sees Jacqueline and Titus on the couch, thinking they are dead from carbon monoxide poisoning.  Kimmy walks in, wishing her a good Saturday morning.  Lillian is confused because she hasn’t taken her pills since Tuesday. Kimmy wants to have a spa and brunch day, like the “Gals on the Town” girls. Titus agrees and quotes the series finale, saying he will have “a mom-mosa because he is drinking for two.”

Jacqueline needs to go get Buckley (Tanner Flood) from school since there was a peanut found on campus. She realizes she needs her life back and plots to get out the person subletting her apartment…with ideas from Lillian.

Titus and Kimmy go shopping and get mani-pedis. While there, they watch everyone else, including a verified Yelp complainer. Kimmy thinks the place has a bunker vibe, but Titus explains that they are giving these people jobs. Kimmy vows to make the workers feel as appreciated as possible.

Lillian and Jacqueline get to work researching the person subletting the apartment. He is a triple digit credit score, a Miami real estate mogul and a married philanderer named Broderick Knob. The ladies go to work digging into his past. Jacqueline decides to use her old tricks to get what she wants. The plan is to have her dress as the beautiful blonde stranger, have Lillian pull the alarm and when Broderick comes out Jacqueline begins to flirt. She will then get a hold of his phone and text his wife, leading him to go home and her to take over the apartment.

At the salon, Kimmy asks for an expensive manicure, while Titus is insulted by an upsell for a “booger nail.”

Jacqueline goes to put her plan into action, but runs into Broderick’s grandson, Tripp (Paul Walter Houser), who is stoned and confused.

CHERY/L joins Kimmy and Titus for brunch, where Kimmy orders two halves of a pizza bagel and Titus orders an omelet with a hard-boiled egg and chicken. Kimmy wants more sugar in her mimosa but cannot open the packet because go her nails.

Jacqueline uses her charm on Tripp, convincing him to move to LA to pursue his music and acting dreams.

At home, Kimmy has trouble using anything because of her nails. She and Titus binge watch more movies, while Jacqueline tries to find a job for Tripp. Kimmy keeps grabbing Titus during scary movies, so he makes her get rid of her nails. When she goes back to the salon, she realizes it is similar to the bunker. She wants to help, but the nail ladies and Titus all tell her to let it go.

Jacqueline realizes she can go anywhere she wants because of her name and gets Tripp a job. While shopping at the same discount outlet as Jacqueline, Kimmy realizes her power is more due to white privilege, so she uses her new jacket and this ideal to her advantage at the salon to get her nails fixed. She argues with the owner and at least gets the workers able to use their own names. She doesn’t realize this isn’t what they wanted exactly, but she still thinks it is a small win.

Kimmy and Titus end the weekend with one more binge watch session.
