What? A Brit and A Yank

James Stapleton and John Oliveira noticed that their back and forth playful (and, at times, hateful) banter on social media was generating a lot of laughs from their followers. Therefore, last summer, John approached James about doing a web show. James came up with the name and the two were quickly off and running on a new adventure. 

Who? Created by James Stapleton (The Brit) and John Raphael Oliveira (The Yank)

Why Should I Watch? It is a unique approach to pop culture that is covered by both snarky sides of the pond. The two touch on topics that they both love and put a comedic spin on them. Whether they are bickering over Beyoncé’s new album, guiding your grooming habits, reviewing The Wizarding World of Harry Potter or spoofing a visit to Judge Judy – these fellas are filled with quick quips and salty snaps at one another! Whatever the weekly topic at hand, you’re in for lots of laughs!

It’s their different cultures, backgrounds and personalities (James is a British Creative Director and John is Connecticut Latino celebrity assistant and former TV producer) that leads to approaching comedy in different ways, which constantly leads to them clashing and finding ways to compromise. James and John can be talking hot topics one week, having a special guest on the next and sometimes be putting on big productions that bring the LOL’s!
What is great about A Brit and a Yank is that they have the feel of a variety show.
