Q) How would you describe your sound?

A) I would describe my sound as multifaceted and introspective; I like to say that my sound makes you feel sad, but it also makes you feel stoned. I like to transmit my feminine energy through my voice and my lyrics.

Q) Who are some of your musical influences?

A) The first person who inspired me to make music from the beginning was Ariana Grande. She has always influenced me in many ways, outside of her there are many artists who inspire me every day such as Travis Scott, Rihanna, Doja Cat, Beyonce and Britney Spears.

Q) Talk about the story behind your new song “001.”

A) One day I went into the studio with Adrián Be and just the two of us started making music. That day I remember feeling a little sad and overwhelmed by things in my love life, so when I was listening to Adrián’s melodies and pooling our energies I felt free to let off steam and start writing. Everything came together in one day and we loved the idea and that’s how we created “001.”

Q) What do you think it is about the song that fans connect to?

A) I believe that all people can connect with “001” because they are things that we have all gone through and will continue to go through, disappointment in love, broken hearts and sadness are part of life.

Q) What is your song writing process? Do you need music before you can create lyrics?

A) The process of these lyrics was too easy for me because it helped me vent at that moment and they were things that I already had inside me. So, listening to the instrumental made me feel free. I remember that before making this song we listened to the song “visiones” by Charli XCX and it was a great inspiration to create “001.”

Q) Adrián Be lent a hand with the production side of “001,” but how much of a say do you have in the production of your music?

A) I love the way Adrián Be works because he understands the vision I want for my music. He is a master at what he does and sometimes he teaches me in the moment how he handles production.

Q) caminokyotsu even remixed the song! What did it mean to you to have them change up the track you created?

A) I loved that the remix of “001” was in the hands of CAMINOKYOTSU because they are two of my closest friends and they have taught me a lot in my process as an artist, they inspire me every day and that is why it means a lot to me to be part of this project.

Q) Where are some of your favorite places to perform and what makes those locations so significant to you?

A) I really like giving shows in my city Monterrey N.L., Mexico because I feel more connected and happier that the people who saw me grow as an artist and person are present in each performance.

Q) We recently chatted with your girl Lulú who worked with you on “Be$itos!” Who would you most like to collaborate with on a song in the future?

A) My collaboration with my friend Lulú was one of the collaborations where I felt very present, just as in the video it was very fun. And in the future, I would like to collaborate with artists who make me feel the same, but speaking of dream collaborations, I think it would be Rosalía, Junior H, Judeline and many more artists that are on my list.

Q) What artist/musician are you currently listening to and why do you dig them?

A) I spend my time listening to Doja Cat, Isabella Lovestory, Travis Scott and Daniel Caesar and they are artists who greatly influence my sound and inspire me every day.

Q) You are a part of social media. Why is that such an important way for you to connect with your fans?

A) Honestly, sometimes I don’t feel so present on social networks, but when I am, I feel very connected with my followers. They are always there seeing me, listening to me and that makes me feel like I should be there more often. I like to talk to them. Them knowing what they like and what they expect from me with my music.

Q) What would you like to say to everyone who is a fan and supporter of you and your work?

A) Even if there are five fans present, those five people make me feel happy and make me want to move forward and give them my all and that is why I am very grateful. I know that soon this community will grow more and more, but the truth is I am really enjoying the process and I am living with patience thanks to them.
